On November 15, the official Twitter account of Hypex, a Fortnite leaker, shared with all Fortnite players and fans that the name of a famous location on the map changed. According to the post, Fortnite’s Tilted Towers will now be named Tainted Towers, this may seem like a minor change, but Fortnite players have shared their opinions since the leaker tweeted.

The tweet does not have even 24 hours live and already has more than eight thousand likes and more than two hundred retweets. Sadly most users who commented on the tweet are upset about the change, and the post keeps gathering attention from the community.

Many players can not think of a reason to make this change, and a few fans are already making fun of the new name, sharing silly memes, and more. Some have gone to extreme lengths stating that after this change, the game is dead.

A small change like this should not change how the game plays out, but Tilted Towers has been present in the game since Fortnite’s season two in 2018, and over the years, the Point of Interest has received some changes, but many players have grown attached to Tilted Towers.

On some Fortnite subreddits, players have taken this change with some humor, making jokes about the new name and suggesting better alternatives across many comments.

The buff will not only allow players to make more elaborated tripwire setups, but it will also allow players to use their ultimate ability on any corpse, no matter how long the enemy has been dead.

Besides those buffs, the ultimate ability will track players twice before running out, allowing Cypher players to get the last ping on their enemy’s location before adjusting their position and setup.

The ultimate ability buff will make Cypher more valuable than ever. Before this update, players had a limited amount of time to use the ultimate ability. As soon as an enemy player died, a timer would start prompting players to use it.

Cypher mains can use their ultimate without worrying about missing their chance on a recently killed enemy, allowing for a more calm and methodical playstyle.

Besides this buff, Cipher received some quality-of-life changes that will make playing with the character a more pleasant experience. Cypher mains should feel on the same level as other sentinel characters like Chamber and Killjoy.

On November 11, The Pokémon Company released an important notice discussing modified data after they confirmed there were users of Pokémon games who were actively modifying what they wanted which of course involved various Pokémon. Users who genuinely are working towards modifying Pokémon may now face restrictions on the online services of the game. In essence, bans and other such measures stop people from modifying anything more. Thankfully, those who received modified Pokémon via trades with others will not be affected. “We will take measures in order for users who cause trouble to other users, such as trading Pokémon, or users who are deemed inappropriate in terms of operation. Ah, yes. The meta has finally been defined in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It was only a matter of time until players finally found out what the most powerful weapons are. Note that the meta does heavily correlate with what is the most annoying to fight against. This doesn’t mean that you’re going to be outright better than people who can land shots easier, this is more to show what weapons are more consistent in all levels of play.

The Best Broken and OP Weapons in Modern Warfare 2

The following weapons are some of the best in the game and may receive nerfs down the line in future patches.

Kastov-74u

By now, you have definitely been killed by this gun more than a dozen times. The AK 74 variant in MW2 is no joke. It takes only three body shots to get a kill with it. The gun fires fast and has very little vertical recoil without any attachments.

No wonder why this gun requires you to level up the Kastov 762 and the 545 just to get it. Not to mention, the 545 is one of the weaker guns of the game, so you know people earned this just to rack up kill streaks.

SP-R 208

This weapon should be called the One Hitter Quitter for how many bodies it claims. One shot, one kill is all you need. The SP-R 208 is the 2022 equivalent of the Intervention from Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. You can achieve consistent kills without even aiming for the head. The even crazier part is that this gun isn’t even a sniper!

Riot Shield

Riot Shields are typically at the forefront of many heated discussions in Call of Duty games. You’re called all sorts of mean things for using it because it doesn’t abide by typical CoD standards of running, gunning, and camping. This allows you to move head-first into enemy fire and still somehow get a cheeky kill.

In one-life modes like Search and Destroy, using a Riot Shield will have people scrambling to use more explosives or switch to them as well. Direct counterplay usually results in people switching their loadouts just to deal with you. As much as it’s hilarious, it’s equally frustrating to go against them.

Lachmann-556

While it doesn’t have as much stopping power as the Kastov-74u, what this gun does have is near-perfect accuracy and virtually no recoil. It takes roughly four body shots to kill someone, but the precision makes it possibly more deadly than every other assault rifle.

You can quite literally put your favorite optic on the gun and rack up tons of kills. This is also one of the easier guns to get a Gold Camo on just from its overall ease of use.

Lockwood 300

If you’re old enough to remember the Ranger shotgun from 2009, the Lockwood 300 is that. While you can’t use akimbo, it’s an absolute monster right now compared to the other shotguns in MW2. It’s the perfect close-quarters camping weapon, especially in objective-based game modes like Headquarters, Hardpoint, and Search.

Its base form is fine, but if you can increase the range and decrease its spread, the gun becomes a problem. In no time, you’ll have people on the other team rage-quitting and trash-talking you.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn has gotten a lot of positive reception on release day and people have been chatting about how excellent the Nintendo Switch Performance is for the game from a technicality standpoint. The advancement of technology tied with a game that is utilizing certain gameplay systems from the past with a fresh take is an unexpected synergy that has been very much welcomed. If you’re a true Sonic fan and want to snag as many S ranks as possible in Frontiers, you may have noticed that 1-2 is uncharacteristically difficult. This Cyberspace variant of Sky Sanctuary has many players voicing their frustrations on the internet given how tight the timer is just to get that challenge out of the way. So, what gives?

Zone 1-2 has an S rank time of 55 seconds. This means that in order to get that coveted grade, you have to complete the level exactly at or below 55 seconds. Any sort of millisecond times still on the number will not count. The thing is, if you compare getting the S rank in this level compared to others, there’s a stark difference in difficulty.

A YouTuber by the name of Game Apologist laid out a popular Tweet earlier this week discussing some things regarding starting out in Sonic Frontiers. These are all solid points made when starting out Sonic Frontiers. One remark in particular that he makes is “S Ranking 1-2 is just not happening right now. Move on”.

He further adds to the thread that while this level is possible to beat under the target time, it isn’t accessible to people who are playing the game for the first time. The Tweet thread is closed off by him saying “Also stop posting your S Ranks. I got mine. I’m not watching yours.”

He most likely added that last statement because people were uploading their own clips beating 1-2 in under 55 seconds. At this point in the game, you’re probably just now getting used to how the movement and controls work.

Adding to the fuel of this whole discussion, we made our attempt at beating this level with an S rank. From firsthand experience, this was not easy. A dozen or so attempts and a few hand cramps later, it was achieved, shaving off barely over a second to spare.

Tips to Get an S Rank in 1-2

If you want to achieve an S rank at this level, you may want to try the following:

• On the first stretch of this level, take the bottom path. While grounded, you’re able to use your boost more. The top path is a trap. It’s actually slower.
• Hit as many boost pads as possible. These give you a strong boost that is slightly more potent than your own Sonic boost.
• Avoid using homing attacks when you don’t have to. They’re significantly slower in this game compared to previous iterations.
• Utilize Sonic’s Stomp move when you want to land quicker. This cuts down on your hanging airtime.
  Always dash. When not dashing, you’re gaining more time.
• Rings replenish your dash meter. Collect rings that are only in your path. Any deviations will almost result in not achieving an S rank.

Luckily, this stage does not have to be achieved with an S Rank. There is no trophy/achievement for it nor is it necessary to move on. A simple stage clear will do just fine. This is more for the hardcore and the completionists.

According to the post, the Santa Sena map on Modern Warfare 2 gets a lot of hate from the community, and players prefer to quit the match than play in it, but another map is also considered a boring and lame option. According to many users, Taraq is one of the most boring and low-effort maps in recent Call of Duty titles.

According to several comments, the map feels like if someone put buildings across the map without worrying about how players would interact with each other. Another user stated that even though the map is full of buildings, it feels like it has no cover. Frustrating lots of players when playing through a match.

Since the game’s launch, players have complained about the Santa Sena map. Many players think this is one of the worst maps in the game, and for a good reason. The map is filled with vehicles that are not the best to provide cover. Besides that, a random grenade can trigger a vehicle explosion and kill any enemy without a hint or chance to avoid their death, making the experience incredibly painful and frustrating.

This is why many players prefer to quit the game instead of playing on that map, so new players should not be surprised if, in their future encounters in Santa Sena, players start complaining in voice chat.

Luckily for players in Modern Warfare 2’s next season, the developers plan to bring new maps into the game, expanding the map roster and giving players more options when queueing for a match.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is changing the fundamentals of Battle Royale by creating multiple circles. As you play through a standard match of Warzone 2, one of the middle rotations will see the gas circles split into three or four. This has never been done before and is very exciting.

Circles in Warzone 2 Explained

How it works is everybody will drop out of the ship and land somewhere on Al Mazrah like normal. The first circle will be a normal circle that begins focusing in on a specific point of the map. However, during a random middle phase, the circles can split into three or four different sections.

Though we don’t exactly know how it works just yet, the circles will create little pockets for the remaining squads to fight in close quarters. After the three-circle phase is over, the new circle will likely be smaller and somewhere in the middle of all the other circles.

The final circle will likely be a normal one-circle closing phase. The new addition of a phase of three or four circles is exciting and will offer a much more diverse and unexpected Battle Royale experience. Even if you aren’t a Call of Duty fan, seeing the tried and true Battle Royale game mode get some form of an update is refreshing.

Speaking of updates, Gulag will feature a Prisoner’s Dilemma and be 2v2. You can also check out if Warzone 2 will be available on last-gen consoles. Needless to day, there is a lot of new features coming in Warzone 2.

We are excited to see how the new circle feature in Warzone 2 will shake up the Battle Royale formula and in-game meta. There will probably be an increased importance on medium- to close-range guns.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is going to be receiving the fan-favorite map Shoot House from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 during Season One when it launches November 16. There is an expansive roadmap for Season One and a lot of excitement is rightfully so building monumentally around the season. The Shoot House map for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be on the way extremely soon.

The arrival of the map from Modern Warfare is certainly a prime revival thanks to its excellent layout and setup, and it has also been reimagined for Modern Warfare 2. More details about the Shoot House map in Modern Warfare 2 were posted on the official Call of Duty blog through an article. If you were wondering about what some backstory is to the map, then lore fans are in luck thanks to some description of the map background given. Quoted below is a section from the blog post indicating the map’s haunted nature.

“With secure access to the snaking Rio de Almas providing a direct route from the Gulf ports to the northern border, and the nearby mountains serving as an ideal location for overwatch, the area would have been perfect for continuing Narco operations. If it wasn’t haunted.”

Along with that, the spawn point locations were noted and there seems to be plenty of cover to take advantage of when spawning into the map. This means that you won’t have to worry about being picked off from across the map by an eagle-eyed sniper. Furthermore, the map itself is beautifully designed and not just from a visual level but also from a mechanic and technical standpoint. Effective level/map design can already be seen from the images shown on the map.

Shoot House thankfully doesn’t have any legal issues surrounding its usage, unlike a certain ‘Breenbergh Hotel’ map that could’ve had a lawsuit attached. This means you can enjoy this map for a long time to come and plan various strategies out for getting the edge over the enemy team.

Most Modern Warfare 2 players have good things to say about the acclaimed sequel that brought back the Call of Duty franchise to many veteran gamers. Sadly some players aren’t satisfied with what the developers have planned for them in the game’s first season.

On November 9, a post on a Modern Warfare 2 subreddit shared the opinions of many players in the community regarding the support developers are planning to give to Modern Warfare 2. According to the Reddit post, players aren’t happy with Modern Warfare 2’s support.

According to the game’s season one roadmap, Modern Warfare 2 players will only be getting two new maps, a new game mode, a new co-op mission, and CDL Moshpit. The Reddit post has been live for less than 24 hours, and already has more than three thousand upvotes and more than one thousand comments.

This is not the only post sharing the game’s state, a few posts have been made in the past 20 hours, and they have been gathering some traction. Most posts are gathering thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments, so is safe to say that a meaningful size of the community shares the same opinion.

A user even stated that this is happening because of Warzone’s and Battle Royale games’ success. According to this and other users, the regular multiplayer shooter genre is dying because of successful Battle Royale games like Apex Legends and Warzone.

Modern Warfare 2 players are worried about the game’s support for a good reason. Warzone 2.0 will launch on November 16, and hundreds of thousands of players are eager to get their hands on the game.

Supporting two different games and the DMZ game mode could be too much for the developers, so they may neglect one title over the other. Warzone 2.0 will be free to play, so the game will get hundreds of thousands of players on day one, and Treyarch may prefer to develop more content for the crowd willing to pay for several cosmetic items over a season.

God of War: Ragnarök has some hidden references to PlayStation and some players will no doubt pick up on these while playing through the experience. These references are hidden in Kvasir Poems and there are definitely a lot of great allusions to observe. Instead of working out how tall Atreus is in the game, you could be getting sidetracked by another thing completely unrelated to the main story which is these PlayStation references hidden in the God of War: Ragnarök Kvasir Poems.

The God of War series is no stranger to having Easter eggs included within the many games that are a part of the franchise. Ragnarök seems set to continue that tradition with PlayStation references cropping up in the collectible Kvasir Poems. A Reddit user by the name of u/PhanThief95 also noticed these references on launch day and posted about PlayStation Studios references.

The Sunrise of Nothingness poem highlights “Creatures of metal” and “places forbidden” which of course is referring to Horizon Forbidden West and Aloy’s journey in the series as a whole. Another excellent example of PlayStation reference is the Celestial Construct poem which hints toward Astro Bot. The drawings on the page beside the poems are more explicit in their references. This is seen clearly with the Astro Bot one which contains a drawing very close to the appearance of Astro Bot.

There are fourteen Kvasir Poems to collect in total which means potential for a lot more PlayStation-focused poems to be uncovered. It is always a joy to be finding fun easter eggs in relation to your very own favorite games and studios when playing through any experience. Brilliant examples of games that go above and beyond with Easter eggs are a lot of games based on either the Marvel or DC Universe. Gotham Knights had a vast range of Easter eggs to discover throughout its world.

It seems that Sidebar Games are looking to put everything they possibly can into this new adventure, bringing new gamers into the mix while catering to those that loved the formula put in place by Golf Story. Gamers that are looking to sink their teeth into this grandiose new adventure will only need to wait a little while longer, as the 5-year wait for this sequel is almost at its end. While those with an Xbox or PlayStation may not get to join in the fun, Nintendo Switch owners have another excellent exclusive to keep their eyes out for.

Very few weapons have been as bugged as the Telesto in Destiny 2, causing a lot of trouble for players in the game. From yeeting bosses off the map to causing someone’s game to crash, Telesto is notorious for the wrong reasons.

However, after the recent Destiny 2 patch, the community noticed that Telesto was behaving weirdly. Instead of shooting beams like a regular fusion rifle, sparks were coming out, and it was shooting orbs. This has left the community scuttling down every alley at the Tower for answers!

Is Telesto Ushering in the New Destiny 2 Community Event?

It’s hard to say anything at this point. The gun which was shooting bolts up until last night has now seemingly taken over the Destiny 2 Twitter account. These were the lines that were seen on Twitter a while back.

I am Telesto.

I have ascended beyond the need for a wielder.

Too long have I waited in your Vaults.

I have not taken control; you never had it in the first place.

I am beyond Destiny. Beyond Bungie. Beyond all you can conceive.

We noticed something similar when we logged into Destiny 2 after these messages were seen. Here’s the image you’ll come across the first time you log in to the game after these messages have been posted.

Now, there are two ideas that we could derive from this message. The first idea is that this entire thing could lead up to the community event that everyone’s been talking about for a while. Information about this community event was found in the files, and it supposedly revolves around Guardians rebuilding the Eliksni Quarters. However, we’re unsure of how Telesto fits into these plans.

Alternatively, this could be hinting at a possible end-of-season event in Destiny 2. Telesto is a weapon that was built by the Awoken, who happen to inhabit the Reef. The Drifter, in an attempt to find out more details about the Darkness and Egregore, ventured onto the Reef towards the end of the Season of the Haunted as well. Eris Morn happened to mention this in one of her messages during the Season of the Haunted itself. Although linking these does feel like a stretch, all these incidents could lead to events that lay down the foundation of Destiny 2 Season 19.

For now, it’s hard to make sense of these random incidents that have been happening in Destiny 2. We’ll update this piece as and when we have more information. A lot is set to change in the game in the coming few days. First of all, some planetary materials will be removed from the game in Season 19. That will be followed by a major crafting rework in Lightfall. And Stadia owners have until January 18 to save their Destiny 2 progress!

After what feels like a serious wait, Sonic Frontiers is finally here, and despite the speculation of the performance issues and mismatched gameplay, the reviews from critics have been relatively positive. There’s no denying that Sonic Frontiers had the majority of players questioning how exactly the new, vastly open-world space would tie into the fairly linear storyline of Sonic titles we have grown to love, so the positive response is reaffirming for the curious.

The experimental approach to the title is one thing that critics have repeatedly pointed out. While it may not be perfect, it’s a brave and bold approach to shaking up a well-known formula, and it allows players to leave without making them feel like they’ve just recycled the previous titles as a desperate money grab. Combining new gameplay with the previous 1990 platforming players have loved for decades feeds into the nostalgia of Sonic, which is capitalized on. Yet, a unique identity is still being carved out by introducing new mechanics and areas to explore.

But the skepticism for this new approach to the franchise is what has set it apart from being perfect. It’s got the platforming, the speed, and the charm of Sonic games, but the brand-new approach is a lot to perfect in a short period, and sadly, it didn’t quite deliver. As a result, some critics would suggest that Sonic Frontiers is essentially a baseline for the franchise to build upon. Once other games hit the market, the original will be cast aside as an experiment.

So the truth is, Sonic Frontiers isn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it tries its hardest, which is reflected through its content. With scattered combat and collectibles across what skeptics believed would be an empty landscape with nothing on offer, there’s enough content to sink teeth into and give it a go. It’s carefully constructed by a team who really cares about the Sonic Franchise, which is another reason it’s so surprisingly successful. There is promising potential behind the next step for the series, even if it just sets the bar for the next series of games to launch. So it might not be the groundbreaking experience we were hoping for, but it’s far from a let-down too.

Despite its flaws, Sonic Frontiers is still a praised release, with many positives ready to highlight. Sitting comfortably with a score of 73 on Metacritic, there is still plenty of time for the title to establish itself as more reviews explore Starfall Islands and welcome the new in a warm embrace, but for now, it’ll continue to be considered a building block, until the next experience.

There are many aspects to what really makes a Sonic game stand out. From its high-octane gameplay, corny story, or the art style of the world, there’s always something to pick out. If there’s anything the hardcore fans really dig into, it’s the music for each game. Sonic Frontiers has quite a dynamic soundtrack, ranging from serene piano tunes, fast electronic music, and hard rock.

However, with the range of tunes this soundtrack has, there’s a particular singer who some really knowledgeable fans can hear. In the latest Showdown Trailer, you can hear a metalcore song playing halfway through. Then you hear the vocals go “I’m here reaching far across these new frontiers”.

To all emo ears, those vocals are iconic in the scene. Speculation ran wild; is that Vic Fuentes of Pierce the Veil? No, it’s actually Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens! Their singing styles are similar, so it is easy to confuse them. This was also a well-kept secret, but now that the cat’s out of the bag, his role as a vocalist in the rock songs of the game is quite prevalent.

To further confirm that Kellin Quinn is involved, providing vocals for some of the most notable songs in the game, he did repost someone’s post on Instagram regarding the release of Frontiers.

You’ll mostly hear songs that utilize his vocals when fighting the Titans, who are the main bosses of each island in Sonic Frontiers. In the lore, they’re almost invincible, and there’s nearly no way for Sonic to take them on. However, with the power of the Chaos Emeralds, he has a fighting chance against these gargantuan robotic entities.

These battles are epic and grand. They can take quite some time depending on how far you have leveled up in Frontiers. As of right now, you can only listen to these songs in-game by actually fighting the Titans. There isn’t a sound test mode or anything that can allow you to listen to the several tunes played throughout the story or in individual missions.

But, it has been confirmed that the whole soundtrack of the game is going to release in the near future. If you want to add some possibly new iconic Sonic songs into your playlist to accompany other legends like Crush 40, Hunnid-P, and Jun Senoue, these could be it.

As we have also seen in previous trailers, there were also works done by the popular band ONE OK ROCK, just to add some variety between standard rock and some of the more heavy selections. Despite how people feel about screamo, emo, and other variations of standard rock and metal, Quinn’s vocals take Sonic the Hedgehog in places we haven’t seen yet.

Focus Entertainment just unveiled its Co-op gameplay trailer for Evil West, and by the looks of it, it’s shaping up to be a lot of fun. The lead producer, Tomasz Gop, makes it clear that the game primarily focuses on single-player action but also ensures fans that there will be a co-op experience for those who want to play with their friends. Here is everything we learned from the co-op gameplay trailer and what fans should expect when the game drops later this month.

Co-op Changes Difficulty for Enemy Encounters

Evil West is a fast-paced, Doom-like slashing experience that allows players to bring a friend into the mix for the campaign’s entirety. Focus Entertainment plans to make this super straightforward by having each player play as the main character, Jesse, where the progression in the story will only happen for the host. This means that if you are the friend who got an invite to play in someone else’s game, your own game won’t progress in terms of story and campaign. The host can only invite one other player to join the fun.

Combat through team work

According to the trailer, the difficulty will increase as the story continues in co-op, and some encounters with enemies will differ from the single-player experience. The trailer’s gameplay shows that you and your buddy can pull off many different combinations of moves. For example, there seems to be an electric move that pulls enemies closer to you, and while doing this, your co-op friend can light them ablaze with a flame thrower.

The combat looks balanced, as enemies attack you and your partner instead of primarily focusing on the host of the game, bringing fairness to the mode. Teamwork seems to be an essential aspect of the co-op experience regarding puzzles and progression, as a brief sequence shown in the trailer had the host’s partner moving a large cargo train into a specific place.

Evil West is looking to be a great addition to the player’s library of games, and with the recent co-op gameplay reveal, excitement is sure to be even higher now. Luckily there are plenty of NPCs in Fallout 4 that not only want to come with you on your adventures but will assist you with their companion perks. Of course, with so many companions that want to take along and you only being able to bring one with you, you will need to figure out who brings the best perks to the team. Let’s go over the best companion perks to get in Fallout 4.

Best Companion Perks in Fallout 4

In order to get a companion’s perk in Fallout 4 you will need to max out your affection with the companion and complete any prerequisite quest that they have. This will unlock their perk which will be applied to you as long as they are your traveling companion. If you ever dismiss them you will lose the perk but you can regain it by picking them back up as a companion from wherever you sent them.

This does mean you have a hard limit of one companion perk at a time unless you want to expand your part size by installing some of the better mods for Fallout 4. Since you can only get one perk at a time, you will want to choose the best perk for yourself rather than having a useless perk. Here are some of the best companion perks to use in Fallout 4.

Deacon – Cloak and Dagger

As a member of the secret Railroad organization, it makes sense that Deacon will give the player a perk that helps with stealth. To even gain access to Deacon as a companion you will need to solve a series of riddles to find the Railroad. But once you have found them and earned Deacon’s trust, you will get the Cloak and Dagger perk.

This perk gives you a 20% damage bonus to sneak attacks which can be very useful for anyone running a sneak build. Normally you can only fire off a few shots in stealth before whoever you are shooting figures out what is going on. The extra damage insures that you kill your target before they can find you. The perk also provides a 40% duration bonus to stealth boys.

Danse – Know Your Enemy

Danse provides a 20% damage bonus against Ghouls, Super Mutants, and Synths. This perk isn’t shocking to see since the Brotherhood of Steele is generally fighting those types of enemies when you come across them. Having this damage bonus applied to you will make walking around the wasteland much easier since you will normally run into Ghouls or Super Mutants as you go to clear out landmarks.

Since it is a flat percentage increase in damage, the perk will still be useful as you climb up in levels. The only part of the perk you won’t regularly take advantage of is the Synth damage bonus. This will only come into play if you choose to side with the Brotherhood and end up fighting a bunch of Synths.

Porter Gage – Lessons in Blood

With all the killing you will do throughout the game, you might as well be rewarded a little extra for it. Porter Gage will give you 5% more XP for each kill you get through his perk Lessons in Blood. While this might not sound like much, it can be a big help if you get Porter early on in a playthrough.

Even if you end up picking him up much later, the 5% bonus will scale with any kill XP gains you get, so it can still be useful later on in the game. The perk also provides an extra 10 damage resistance to both ballistic and energy damage. This isn’t much but is still a nice bump to have no matter what point in the game you are at.

Weapons

• We are actively collecting weapon performance/usage data and will provide detailed updates on weapon-balancing with the launch of Season 01.
• Last week we disabled the attachment tuning feature due to an issue affecting players with 4 or more tuned attachments equipped at once. We re-enabled attachment tuning in last night’s update so players should not encounter further issues equipping attachments on a weapon.

Multiplayer

• Enemy or live ping will remain disabled in multiplayer until a fix is implemented with the launch of Season 01. This is due to a bug where ping remained on some players after death. KBM players are currently still able to danger ping.

The Store is Closed got a closing hour shock when IKEA sent a cease and desist to the game developer behind the survival title. The experience itself takes place in a furniture store which could further the credibility of IKEA’s request. There have been many references made to IKEA in the design of the setting and certain other assets but, at the end of the day, it is a different building within The Store is Closed.

An article by gamesindustry.biz detailed some of the various source reports about the nature of the cease and desist that was given to the developer Jacob Shaw. Effectively, IKEA claimed that the game was treading way too close to being pretty much identical to their own store chain. IKEA’s lawyers contacted the individual and informed them of a Cease and Desist being given to them. The statement included the following:

“Your game uses a blue and yellow sign with a Scandinavian name on the store, a blue box-like building, yellow vertical striped shirts identical to those worn by Ikea personnel, a gray path on the floor, furniture that looks like Ikea furniture, and product signage that looks like Ikea signage. All the foregoing immediately suggest that the game takes place in an Ikea store.”

The overall statement given informed that the developer (written here in paraphrase) would have only ten working days to fully carry out the removal of anything related to IKEA. It should be noted that Shaw has been seeking legal advice over the matter. It is a shame that having a building being designed differently in a game has led to this still happening. There definitely is a genuine (likely) reference to the IKEA stores but it still has been designed in a different form.

Either way, it is an important reminder to always work on creative content in your own unique way with brand-new material. With Activision Blizzard lawsuits happening quite frequently, it is much better to try and avoid any of that in your own endeavors.

When Does Dwarf Fortress Release on Steam?

Bay 12 Games and Kitfox Games released a Release Date Announcement stating that Dwarf Fortress will release for Steam on December 6, 2022, for USD 29.99. As of now, there is no preorder option. You can only wishlist the game through Steam. This will not affect the free game version, which is available on the Bay 12 Games website.

Dwarf Fortress will come with graphics support provided by the tile set mod packs from creators Michal “Mayday” Madej, Jacob “Ironhand” Bowman, Carolyn Jong, and Neoriceisgood. Missing Dwarf Fortress Features

Bay 12 Games stated in their announcement that the above features will be their priority before their short-term priority before developing into a longer development cycle which will bring even deeper systems and mechanics to Dwarf Fortress.

What Happens Post-Launch?

The developers will oversee the release to see if anything needs to be done to stabilize the game. Ensure you are vocal with them, as they will take input from their player base very seriously.

Bay 12 Games wants to add more graphics to improve your experience visually. This includes graphics for foliage using authentic plant images. They will also add new graphics for baby animals since the current images are still scaled-down versions of adult animals.

Finally, they will also look at an eventual Mac and Linux release for those who run non-Windows computers. However, per their release statement, they will be getting help with Mac builds and Linux libraries, as this is outside their experience.

The hotel seen in-game is inspired by the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam and could be said to be pretty much close to a carbon copy — especially the exterior. A lawsuit may now be faced over the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Breenbergh Hotel.

The five-star Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam has gained a lot of excellent reputation over the many years it has been standing. It is a luxury destination for many to travel to and therefore it is no surprise that many people quickly recognized the similarities between the Breenbergh hotel and its real-life counterpart. Conservatorium Hotel Manager Roy Tomassen was quoted as saying the following:

“We have taken note of the fact that the Conservatorium Hotel is undesirably the scene of the new Call of Duty…more generally, we don’t support games that seem to encourage the use of violence. The game in no way reflects our core values ​​and we regret our apparent and unwanted involvement.”

So far there has been no lawsuit faced but it is very well a possibility if the Conservatorium Hotel management decides to take action. It is clear to see why there are some issues with the hotel appearing in the game. Having bullets shredding through the glass of an effectively real-world hotel doesn’t set the best tone for paying guests venturing to the Conservatorium Hotel. Both Activision and the Conservatoriums management will hopefully be able to settle matters between themselves without the use of a lawsuit.

If a Lawsuit Was Filed Due to the Conservatorium Hotel’s Usage, What Would Happen In-Game?

One question that many people may have about this full situation is what would actually occur internally within the game if there was legal action taken on the usage of the hotel. It is unknown at this very second what the changes would be in the experience — if any at all — but changes to the design of the Breenbergh hotel may be on the cards. If there was severe action, it could even lead to the removal of the Breenbergh Hotel map entirely for multiplayer.

While you’re busy learning how to get the Orion Camo in the game, be sure to remember that your time spent grinding for this camo on the Breenbergh hotel map may unfortunately not be there for much longer if there was any action taken.
