Destiny-2-A-Spark-Of-Hope

A Spark of Hope is an excellent quest for players new to Destiny 2 (colloquially known as New Lights). Not only does the quest introduce core mechanics and characters of the Destiny 2 universe to the player, but it also rewards them with a powerful Exotic weapon. Here’s how you can complete Spark of Hope and earn the powerful Riskrunner submachine gun.

How to Start A Spark of Hope in Destiny 2

Zavala-A-Spark-of-Hope-Destiny-2

To start A Spark of Hope in Destiny 2, talk to Commander Zavala in The Tower. He is the bald-headed, blue Titan gazing over The Last City, North West of where you spawn into The Tower. If Zavala does not offer you the quest, it can be found in the Quest Archive via the Terminal, which is located to the left of Postmaster Kadi 55-30. Once the quest has been retrieved, progress can be tracked in the Quests tab in your Director. If you find yourself lost, both Zava and the Quest Archive can be found on the map.

How to Complete A Spark of Hope in Destiny 2

The first step of A Spark of Hope in Destiny 2 is to talk to Commander Zavala, which you should have already done to begin the quest. Next, speak to Ikora Rey found in the Bazaar section of The Tower. Opening the map, hovering over Ikora, and adding a Waypoint will add a diamond to your HUD, guiding you directly to her. Unfortunately, Hunters currently don’t have a Vanguard representative, as their previous one — Cayde-6 —was killed in the now-removed Forsaken expansion. After speaking to Ikora, you will need to visit Devrim Kay in the EDZ.

Destiny-2-Devrim-Kay

Devrim Kay is located in the Trostland section of the EDZ. The EDZ (short for European Dead Zone) is a separate Destination from The Tower and can be flown to via the Destinations menu. Once you have selected the Trostland Landing Zone, head inside the Church directly in front of you and ascend to the top, where you will find the charming marksman, Devrim Kay. Devrim asks you to clear out three Lost Sectors; Terminus East, Widow’s Walk, and Atrium.

Lost Sectors are hidden areas found in most Destinations, marked with two arches and a circle. Each Lost Sector is filled with enemies and a boss, with a cache being awarded when the boss is defeated. Lost Sectors scale with your Power Level and are easy to complete by yourself, but you are free to bring friends along if you wish.

Atrium, Terminus East, and Widow’s Walk Lost Sectors

Atrium-Destiny-2

Atrium can be found in the church itself. Jump down from the platform Devrim is on and head straight forward, stopping before the final set of pillars. To the right, there will be an open hatch. Head down the hatch, through the tunnel, and complete the Lost Sector by defeating the boss and opening the Cache.

Terminus-East-Destiny-2

To find Terminus East, head out of the church, past the entrance to Atrium, and turn directly East. Run over to the building with rusted panels, and you should be able to spot the Lost Sector symbol on the wall. Crouch or slide under the door and continue forwards through the tunnel to start the Lost Sector.

Widows-Walk-Destiny-2

Widow’s Walk is directly West of the church’s exit and Terminus East’s entrance. You will find the Lost Sector symbol sprayed on a wooden plank outside of a building. Enter the building and go through the open door on the right, making your way through each open entrance until you reach a flight of stairs. Make your way down and follow the path to start the Widow’s Walk Lost Sector.

Risk/Reward

Return to Devrim with the map fragments you found in each of the Lost Sector Caches you looted. This will open up a separate quest, Risk/Reward, which is required to complete A Spark of Hope. Open up the Cosmodrome Destination in the Destinations menu. A new activity titled Risk/Reward will now be available, which you need to complete. This activity is easy enough to complete by yourself, and you will be guided the entire way through. By the end of the activity, you will have been rewarded Riskrunner, an electrifying Exotic submachine gun.

Once you’ve completed Risk/Reward, return to Zavala in The Tower to complete A Spark of Hope and receive a nice new Emblem. If you’re looking for another Exotic weapon to add to your Destiny 2 collection as a New Light, the Halo-inspired Forerunner Exotic sidearm should be next on your list.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Where to Find and Use the Strange Key in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/where-to-find-and-use-the-strange-key-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/where-to-find-and-use-the-strange-key-in-destiny-2/#respond Sun, 13 Nov 2022 22:13:49 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=871868
Destiny-2-Xur-and-Forerunner-Strange-Key

The Strange Key in Destiny 2 is an item needed to obtain Forerunner, an Exotic Sidearm inspired by Halo‘s famous M6D Magnum Pistol. A lack of information is provided to the player on what the Strange Key is, where it is found and what it unlocks. In this guide, we will detail how you can obtain and utilize the Strange Key and finally get your hands on Forerunner itself.

What Does the Strange Key Unlock in Destiny 2?

The Strange Key is an item required for the Magnus Opus quest, which is given to players by Xúr when visiting Xúr’s Treasure Hoard, located in Eternity. Near the end of the Magnus Opus quest, players need to use the Strange Key to unlock a hidden Halo-inspired area in the location known as Valley, which can only be reached via the purple teleporter located behind Xúr.

How to Get the Strange Key in Destiny 2

Xur-Selling-Strange-Key-Destiny-2

To obtain the Strange Key in Destiny 2, you need to reach Rank 4 Reputation with Xúr and acquire it from him for free in Xúr’s Treasure Hoard. While you do need to have accepted the Magnus Opus quest for the Strange Key to be obtainable, you do not have to currently be on the step that requires its use. Your reputation with Xúr can be increased by participating in Dares of Eternity and completing bounties sold by him.

Where to Use the Strange Key in Destiny 2 (Magnus Opus Quest)

Where-to-use-Strange-Key-Destiny-2

To use the Strange Key in Destiny 2, you first need to advance far enough in the Magnus Opus quest.

  • Collect 7 Strange Coins by completing Dares of Eternity multiple times. Make sure you pick up bounties from Xúr, as this will help with the quest later on.
  • Complete 3 Bounties from Starhorse. Starhorse is quite literally a horse made of stars, which can be found next to Xúr in Xúr’s Treasure Hoard. Unlike Xúr’s bounties, only one of Starhorse’s bounties can be completed at a time. Ensure you are still picking up and completing Xúr’s bounties, as this will help you with the next step.
  • Reach Rank 4 reputation with Xúr. As mentioned previously, you will need to achieve Rank 4 in your reputation with Xúr before you can purchase the Strange Key needed to continue. The previous quest steps will have raised your reputation somewhat, but you will likely need a few more Dares of Eternity runs before you can purchase the key.

Once the Strange Key has been bought, head into the swirling purple cloud at the back of Xúr’s Treasure Hoard. Run towards the group of rocks in the North East and look for a peculiar-looking rectangle sticking out of one of them. Here, you should be able to use the Strange Key and activate the secret area, which will now be marked. It can be quite tricky to get the angle needed to use the key.

Head over to the marker, which should be directly in front of you. Enter the crevice on the right, and you will be greeted with text that should be very familiar to you if you’ve played Halo: Combat Evolved. Ascend to the top and you will eventually come across a cryo pod, which, again, should be instantly recognizable to Halo fans. Interact with it and retrieve the Anomalous Object. Bringing the Anomalous Object to Banshee-44 in the Tower will complete the Magnus Opus quest, awarding you with Forerunner.

Forerunner Exotic Firearm

Destiny-2-Forerunner

Forerunner is a powerful firearm heavily inspired by the Magnum from the Halo franchise, which Bungie originally created, eventually handing the torch over to 343 Industries to put their full focus on Destiny. Aiming down sights with Forerunner will zoom in and transform your reticle into one very alike to the Magnum’s own in Halo: Combat Evolved. The gun also has a Masterwork available that grants the player the ability to turn their grenades into fragmentation grenades.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

When Does Destiny 2 Season 19 Begin? https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/when-does-destiny-2-season-19-begin/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/when-does-destiny-2-season-19-begin/#respond Thu, 10 Nov 2022 15:09:21 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=871038
Destiny-2-Season-191

Destiny 2 Season 19 is the final season of the Witch Queen expansion. This season is somewhat important because whatever happens during this season will ultimately set the tone for Lightfall.

The next season is a little over a month away. So keeping that in mind, here’s everything we know about Destiny 2 Season 19.

Destiny 2 Season 19 Start Date, New Dungeon, Weapon Reworks, and More

As of now, Destiny 2 Season 19 is scheduled to start on December 6, 2022. The season is scheduled to go live at 6 PM BST/10 AM PT/1 PM ET, alongside the weekly reset.

The season is expected to conclude on February 28, 2022. Once the season concludes, the servers will be taken down, and when the come back up, the Lightfall expansion along with Season 20 will go live.

New Activities

We’ll be seeing a brand new dungeon in Destiny 2 Season 19. Not much is known about this dungeon. However, Bungie confirmed that the dungeon will be going live on December 9, which is three days after the new season drops.

This staggered launch can probably be attributed to the subclass reworks that we’ll be seeing in the game in the next season.

Subclass Reworks

While the Arc subclass is exactly where Bungie wants it to be, the other subclasses are still slightly out of balance. To make sure that everything is on the same page, the following changes will be seen in Destiny 2 Season 19.

Solar

  • Restoration’s 1x healing rate will be reduced from 25 to 20 (40 HP heal in PvE). Restoration’s 2x healing rate will be reduced from 40 to 32.5 (65 HP Heal in PvE). The healing won’t stack with the healing received from a healing rift.
  • Ember of Torches will come with a -10 Discipline penalty and the Radiant buff this applies will last for 8 seconds compared to the previous 10 seconds.
  • Ember of Solace will now provide a flat 50% Radiant duration extension over the previous 5 second extension.
  • Solar Hunters have some changes coming down their way too. These changes are with respect to the Knock ‘Em Down Aspect. They are as follows:
    • Golden Gun
      • Now provides 15% bonus damage resistance to Deadshot Golden Gun but the bonus duration is removed.
      • The 15% bonus damage resistance that came with the Marksman Golden Gun has been removed.
    • Blade Barrage
      • Blade Barrage bonus projectiles were reduced from 5 to 3 per group. It now releases a total of 20 knives, down from the previous 24.
  • Solar Warlocks who used Celestial Fire are in luck because the close-range melee damage will be buffed to 100.

When it comes to Blade Barrage, while the projectiles have been removed, the DPS rating might just remain the same, provided the damage dealt by each knife receives a buff.

Void

  • The Void overshield which can be triggered through various ways will be dealing the intended 50% damage resistance in PvE compared to the 25% its been dealing now.
  • The Nova Bomb: Vortex will be receiving the following changes as well:
    • Increased initial projectile speed by 21%.  Increased radius of the inward pull on impact by approximately 17% and an increase in the strength of the inward pull on impact by approximately 20%.
  • The Titan Shield Bash will now be more reliable while applying suppression.
  • The tether lifetime for Shadowshot: Deadfall will be increased from 8 seconds to 12 seconds.
  • The tether lifetime for Shadowshot: Moebius Quiver will be reduced to 6 seconds from 8 seconds.

Arc

This is more or less in a stable state. The developers haven’t announced too many changes with this just yet. There is, however, one small change that we’ll be seeing in Destiny 2 Season 19.

  • The Touch of Thunder Storm Grenade is being nerfed slightly. The roaming duration is being reduced to 4 seconds.
  • The extended duration to the Storm Grenade granted by the Spark of Magnitude will be reduced to 1.5 seconds.
  • A new VFX layer will be added to allow Guardians to distinguish if the grenade was tossed by a friend or an ally.

While these are the changes that the subclasses will be receiving, some Exotic Weapons will be reworked too. They are as follows:

  • No Time to Explain
    • Recoil direction reduced to 73 from 90.
    • Aim Assist reduced to 40 from 45.
  • Jade Rabbit
    • Aim Assist reduced by 20 points.
  • Lord of the Wolves (The changes below will be visible when the “Release the wolves” buff is active)
    • Aim down sight (ADS) accuracy penalty reduced to 3x.
    • 25% universal base damage buff removed.
    • Weapon gets a 40% damage buff in PvE.
    • The critical hit multiplier penalty will be removed.
    • Full auto is now an intrinsic perk.
  • Riskrunner
    • Damage resistance reduced to 15% in PvP.

These are all the changes that we’ll be seeing in Destiny 2 Season 19. With a little less than a month for the season to go live, Bungie might be dropping a few more changes in the upcoming weeks.

While that concludes everything that we know about the next season, there’s something rather interesting going on in the game right now. Telesto has broken the game once again but in a weird way! Moreover, Stadia owners will have until January 18 to back up all their accounts. Some planetary materials will be leaving the game in the upcoming season as well.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

PSA: Destiny 2 Stadia Players Have Until January 18 to Save Their Progress https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/psa-destiny-2-stadia-players-have-until-january-18-to-save-their-progress/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/psa-destiny-2-stadia-players-have-until-january-18-to-save-their-progress/#respond Thu, 27 Oct 2022 23:26:44 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=866788 Destiny-2-Stadia

With the unfortunate news that Google Stadia is shutting down, Bungie has revealed in their most recent This Week at Bungie blog that the last day for Destiny 2 Stadia players to save their progress is January 18. Though they said that they are still working on a long-term solution to this problem, the short-term solution is to enable Cross Save.

If you play Destiny 2 on Stadia and you want to save all of your progress, you need to enable Cross Save and link your account with another platform. If you don’t do this by January 18, all of your progress—literally everything you’ve ever done in Destiny 2—will be inaccessible and lost since Stadia will be shut down for good.

The fact that Bungie doesn’t have a better solution is unfortunate since, even with Cross Save enabled, Bungie does not allow Destiny 2 DLC to cross platform. That means that all of the Destiny 2 expansions that you’ve purchased on Stadia will be lost and inaccessible. If you want that content back, you’ll need to wait for a sale and buy them again.

It’s not only a bummer that Stadia is shutting down for good, it’s like getting hit while you’re down with how Bungie has responded to this news. Stadia was a perfect platform for Destiny 2, offering players the ability to play one of the best FPS live service games on the go.

Luckily, Google is offering a way for you to get a refund on your Stadia membership and devices. It is sad that Bungie isn’t offering an olive branch to Destiny 2 Stadia players by offering them free, or at least half off, DLC expansions that they bought. Bungie hasn’t ruled anything out, so hopefully, this is in the works.

Though nothing is confirmed, the only thing we know is that to not lose all of your Destiny 2 progress to the Stadia void, enable Cross Save and link to the new platform that you will use for Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Bungie Suggests Completing a Strike to Fix the Spectral Pages Converting Error in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/bungie-suggests-completing-a-strike-to-fix-the-spectral-pages-converting-error-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/bungie-suggests-completing-a-strike-to-fix-the-spectral-pages-converting-error-in-destiny-2/#respond Thu, 27 Oct 2022 22:58:57 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=866784 Destiny-2-Complete-a-Strike-Spectral-Pages

Festival of the Lost is the Halloween event in Destiny 2 and a Spectral Pages bug has ruined some of the fun. Players are reporting that they are unable to complete the Gone but Not Forgotten quest that starts the Festival of the Lost event because they can’t convert their Spectral Pages to Manifest Pages.

Though there are a few proposed fixes to this Spectral Pages error, Bungie has suggested that completing a strike can fix this issue. As strange as this sounds, in the This Week at Bungie blog post, this was included in one of Bungie’s workarounds to the converting Spectral Pages bug while they work on fixing it.

Here are the other Spectral Pages error fixes that Bungie has offered:

As mentioned previously, Bungie then offered a few more solutions if none of the above workarounds fixes your Spectral Pages issue. The four last workarounds offered are to clear your console or PC game cache, obtain more Spectral Pages (as if playing more will solve your problem), complete a Haunted Lost Sector, and complete a strike.

The last one—complete a strike—is such an odd workaround, one we’ve never heard before. It’s as if Bungie is saying “play more of our game” instead of taking ownership and fixing the issue as soon as possible. Their lucky we’re completing strikes instead of striking the Festival of the Lost event considering the main currency of it is broken.

Hopefully, Bungie will fix the issue with their hotfix 6.2.5.2 on Tuesday, November 1, but by then, you only have seven days to do as much as you can to earn all of the cool masks.

Crafting is Getting a Major Rework in Destiny 2 Lightfall https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/crafting-is-getting-a-major-rework-in-destiny-2-lightfall/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/news/crafting-is-getting-a-major-rework-in-destiny-2-lightfall/#respond Thu, 27 Oct 2022 22:41:38 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=866781 Destiny-2-Crafting-Lightfall

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen brought crafting to the game. Though crafting has been a great addition to Destiny 2, offering guaranteed God Roll to craftable weapons like the Taipan-4FR, there are still a few problems with crafting. In Destiny 2 Lightfall, the next big expansion, Bungie is looking to rework crafting to make it easier to understand and use.

In the latest This Week at Bungie blog post, Bungie announced that based on the player feedback, crafting will be improved when Lightfall is released. The major problems with the current state of crafting that Bungie identified are that Deepsight weapons (the red border weapons) are too common which adds confusion to new players and stressful inventory management to experienced players.

They also said that using the Deepsight weapons to extract the crafting currency leads to players never getting to use their best loadout. Other problems include ways to make leveling crafted weapons easier and balancing crafted weapons so base raid crafted weapons aren’t stronger than Adept raid weapons.

The goals that Bungie is working towards for when Destiny 2 Lightfall releases are to introduce alternative ways to earn Deepsight currency, reduce bad luck when trying to get the weapon recipe you want, reduce loadout stress, and improve the value of Master raid content.

To not lose out on any crafting resources, make sure to complete any and all Deepsight weapons before February 28, the day that Destiny 2 Lightfall begins.

With all of these changes coming to crafting, we hope that ultimately, these are good changes that won’t nerf crafting weapons to oblivion and will instead make the economy of Destiny more manageable and allow players to more easily unlock the Deepsight weapons they want. Only time will tell, but our fingers are crossed.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Destiny 2: The 11 Best Sniper Rifles for PVE and PVP, Ranked https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-best-sniper-rifles-for-pve-and-pvp-ranked/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-best-sniper-rifles-for-pve-and-pvp-ranked/#respond Thu, 27 Oct 2022 08:16:12 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=866291 Destiny-2-Best-Sniper-Rifles

Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 have been a staple weapon choice for most Guardians ever since the game went live. Whether its PvE or PvP, Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 are lethal, even against most bosses in end-game PvE activities.

It might sound absurd but many Guardians actually prefer using Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 during certain boss DPS phases. Having said that, here are 11 Sniper Rifles that deserve recognition for the absolute beast that they are!

Ranking the Best Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2

11. Mechabre

Mechabre

How to get: Festival of the Lost reward

The Mechabre is the newest Sniper Rifle in the game. This weapon was introduced with the Festival of the Lost. To get this, all you need to do is complete the introductory mission for the event. That should technically get you a god-roll version of the weapon. Alternatively, you can also farm it by completing Haunted Sectors, a special activity that’s available just during the Festival of the Lost. It will probably leave the pool once the event is over, so make sure you get it before time runs out.

10. Silicon Neuroma

Silicon-Neuroma

How to get: Nightfall rewards

This isn’t the best Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2, but it definitely is better than the others you will usually come across in the game. Moreover, the Silicon Neuroma drops with both Triple Tap and Firing Line, making it quite a good weapon in PvE activities. In the presence of Linear Fusion Rifles with the same roll, no one will go for a Sniper Rifle, but if you don’t have a Linear Fusion Rifle, this one is a nice option.

9. Cloudstrike

Cloudstrike

How to get: Empire Hunts

This is probably the rarest Sniper Rifle in the game. To get your hands on the Cloudstrike, you will have to complete the Empire Hunt missions on Europa after you’ve completed the Beyond Light campaign. Although you can select the difficulty for this activity, higher levels of difficulty don’t increase the drop rate of this weapon. It’s an Exotic weapon and the intrinsic perk on it causes lightning strikes around the target hit with a precision shot.  Don’t get us wrong, this weapon is devastatingly powerful. However, the drop rates are bad, and thus the low rank on this list.

8. Fugue-55

Fugue-55

How to get: Random world drops

This weapon is probably the easiest to get out of all the weapons mentioned on this list. You’ll receive this weapon by completing random world encounters. Moreover, the Fugue-55 drops from certain activity completion chests as well. It’s not that great a weapon to be honest, but it gets the job done. It also drops with the Auto Loading Holster and the Vorpal Weapon rolls, making it an interesting weapon to begin with. We wouldn’t carry it in a boss fight where DPS is important, but we would definitely use it to clear out any orange bar enemies, which are rather annoying and need to be taken out from a distance. Shriekers are a fine example of such annoying enemies in Destiny 2.

7. Defiance of Yasmin

Defiance-of-Yasmin

How to get: King’s Fall raid

The Defiance of Yasmin is a decent Sniper Rifle. It won’t be as strong as the Thoughtless, but it’s definitely a killer. It’s a kinetic Sniper Rifle, but if you have the Osmosis roll on it, all you need to do is throw a grenade and it will match your subclass energy. After that, whenever you pick up an elemental well that matches your subclass type and if you have Font of Might equipped, this weapon will be dealing a maddening amout of damage. It might not hit as hard as Praedyth’s Revenge either, but it does get the job done. Moreover, you can craft this weapon, so that’s another bonus!

6. The Supremacy

The-Supremacy

How to get: Last Wish raid

While this Sniper Rifle doesn’t excel alot in PvE, it’s an absolute beast in PvP. Thanks to the Snapshot Sights and the Kill Clip rolls on this weapon, you will definitely give your opponents in the Crucible a very hard time whenever you step into the arena with this weapon equipped. To get this weapon, you will have to complete the Last Wish raid. It drops from each and every encounter in the game, including the secret chests, so you shouldn’t have a lot of trouble getting this weapon.

5. Praedyth’s Revenge

Praedyths-Revenge

How to get: Vault of Glass raid

This is one of the few Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 that can outdo a Triple Tap Sniper Rifle in the game. Thanks to the Rewind Rounds perk on this weapon, the weapon automatically fills bullets from reserves based on the number of hits with this weapon. For example, if you manage to hit 12 targets with this weapon, whenever your magazine is empty, you will receive around 5- 6 rounds. You will eventually have to reload, yes, but you don’t have to do so frequently.

4. Thoughtless

Thoughtless

How to get: PsiOps Battlegrounds/ Risen Umbral Engrams

It’s safe to say that the Thoughtless is the poor man’s Izanagi’s Burden in Destiny 2. This weapon is the very first Stasis sniper to be introduced in the game, and it manages to hold its own ground pretty well too. Being a Stasis weapon, it sits in your kinetic slot, letting you go for a primary ammo based weapon for your energy slot. Overall, this weapon is quite easy to use in the game, and grants high damage numbers whenever it’s used. If you have a Gjallarhorn, you can whip out the Thoughtless and use them in tandem for some really amazing DPS.

3. Whisper of the Worm

Whisper-of-the-Worm

How to get: Exotic Kiosk at the Tower

There was a time when this weapon was one of the most sought after weapons in Destiny 2. However, the weapon has slowly been lost to time. I mean no one wants to deal with the Worm Gods anyway. Despite dealing Solar damage, this weapon is probably one of the few Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 that sits in the Power weapon slot in the loadout section. Whenever you land three consecutive precision shots, the magazine refills. Not only that, thanks to the Mulligan perk, if you miss a shot, there’s a chance that the round will be returned to your magazine, making it a very forgiving yet a very powerful weapon.

2. Izanagi’s Burden

Izanagis-Burden

How to get: Exotic Kiosk at the Tower

When it comes to a boss DPS phase in Destiny 2, the Izanagi’s Burden is slowly turning out to be a very popular choice. Coupled with a rocket launcher which comes with an Auto Loading Holster perk, this weapon can be used to melt bosses. Alternatively, you can press and hold the reload button to combine all rounds in the magazine into one single round, that can one-shot most champions as well. Although that does make the weapon quite ammo hungry, but if you mix it up with ammo finder mods, or even with special finisher mods, you will be able to keep that reserve ammo count up for a long time.

1. Succession

Succession

How to get: Deep Stone Crypt

This weapon is by far the best Sniper Rifle in the game. Dropping from the Deep Stone Crypt, this weapon comes with two really interesting perks: Recombination and Reconstruction. Although it’s really hard to get both these rolls on a single weapon, if you do manage to get it, there is hardly a weapon that can match the damage output of this weapon. It’s easier to land hits with this weapon in Destiny 2 as well. With Reconstruction, the weapon automatically reloads itself over time, up to double the capacity of its magazine. Recombination, on the other hand, gives this weapon additional damage for a short time after an elemental final blow.

That concludes our list of the best Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2. Since the Festival of Lost is still active, here’s how you can get your hands on Spectral Pages, and then add them to the Book of the Forgotten as well.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Destiny 2: How to Complete the Gone but Not Forgotten Quest https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-complete-the-gone-but-not-forgotten-quest/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-complete-the-gone-but-not-forgotten-quest/#respond Thu, 20 Oct 2022 10:19:35 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864475 Destiny-2-Gone-but-not-Forgoten-Quest

The Halloween spirit is alive and well in Destiny 2 with the Festival of the Lost in full swing. As per usual, we have a tutorial quest to help ease players into the event activity and teach them the way to farm the event. This year the quest in Destiny 2 is called Gone but not Forgotten and it is giving some players a bit of trouble. Let’s go over how you can complete Gone but not Forgotten in Destiny 2.

How to Complete the Gone but Not Forgotten Quest in Destiny 2

Every event we always get a nice quest to teach us the basic steps to follow for the event and this year it is no different. However, this year’s quest seems to be a bit too simple in some regards and entirely misses a step of the process in other regards. The quest was also broken for many players on release which lead to even more confusion in the community as some players thought they were doing the quest wrong.

Step 1. Get Your Mask From Eva

This step is quite straightforward and can be done as you are accepting the quest. Once you pick up the quest from Eva in the tower she will offer you a selection of masks with different energy types. The masks will be on level for you to immediately wear and you simply need to choose one from her. You will need to level them up to fit your mods onto them, but this is a relatively cheap process and you can reclaim the materials when the event is over.

Step 2. Put on Your Mask

This is the step that seems a little too simple to be included as a hard step in the questline but it is. You need to exit your conversation with Eva and simply equip the mask you just got from her. Most players will already do this as it is standard practice to wear the event armor whenever you plan to participate in an event. The worst part of this step is you need to wait for the quest to actually update after you have put on your mask before you can continue the quest.

Step 3. Speak With Eva Again

This step is again quite straightforward but normally is a little bit different. For previous events, this would be the step where you need to go complete any activity with your mask on to get the Spectral Pages. This way newer players can learn all the different ways they can farm up Spectral Pages to use in the event. This year though, you just need to speak with Eva and she will hand you a set of Spectral Pages that can be taken into the event activity.

Step 4. Complete a Summoning Ritual in a Haunted Lost Sector Activity

This is the second half of the grind for the event. After you have acquired your Spectral Pages, you will normally take them into the event activity to turn them into Manifested Pages. In order to complete the summoning ritual, you will need to go into the Haunted Lost Sectors and progress through them until you see a point marked with a letter A through D. You will need to stand in one of these points until the ritual meter reaches 100 and that will complete the Summoning Ritual and this quest step.

Step 5. Acquire Manifested Pages From Haunted Lost Sectors

This was the step that confused a lot of players as it was broken on launch. Many players were experiencing a bug where Spectral Pages were not turning into Manifested Pages at the end of the Haunted Lost Sector and it was leaving them stuck on this step of the quest. If you just complete a Haunted Lost Sector normally, this quest step should complete and you will be able to continue on.

Step 6. Speak With Eva Once Again

After you get yourself some Manifested Pages, Eva will want to speak with you to tell you what to do with them. This means you will need to take another trip to the Tower and speak with her at the tree by the landing zone.

Step 7. Add Your Manifested Pages to the Book of the Forgotten

Filling out the book is normally the goal of the event and when you can fully consider yourself done with it. There are a few challenges tied to this that we will cover in a later step. This should be what you do after you convert a large stack of Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages. The further you progress in the book the more pages you will need to turn in for each step ending at about nine pages per step.

Step 8. Speak With Eva

This would normally be where the quest ends. This year we have the addition of the Event Card system that adds a bit more progression to the event. Many players are unsure if they want to buy the Event Card but there are still free challenges you can complete in it. Since the quest doesn’t end here you still have two more steps to get through, but they can all be done without leaving the Tower.

Step 9. Claim an Event Card Challenge

The Event Card system that we saw during the Solstice event is back and has many players on the fence. Regardless of your opinion of the system, you will need to complete one of the challenges in order to finish this quest. Luckily this won’t cost you any money to finish as the challenges are free and it seems that some of them tie into the Triumph available for the event.

Step 10. Speak with Eva One Last Time to Finish The Quest

This will be the last time you are forced to speak with Eva during this quest since it is the final step. You simply need to talk with her again and be given a PvP-curated roll of the new Mechabre sniper rifle. It is nice that they hand this out but does defeat a lot of the purpose of farming for a god-roll of the Mechabre since this roll can work well in PvP. Still, you will wrap up the quest after this and be free to farm the rest of the event as you please. You can either farm tons of candy to buy bags or focus on getting through the Book of the Forgotten.

Either way, just make sure you make the most of this event since the weapons and drops will be gone until next year. If you need any ideas on what else to farm during the event, consider having a look at our Destiny 2 guides for what to do during the event and what god rolls to farm for.

Destiny 2 Horror Story God Roll: Best Perks for PvP and PvE https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-horror-story-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-horror-story-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/#respond Wed, 19 Oct 2022 10:47:02 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864081 Destiny-2-Horror-Story

Alongside the ghost of enemies past, we have the return of weapons past with the Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2. All of the previous years’ weapons have come back to haunt us in Destiny 2 with their brand new Origin trait which means you need to re-farm up your god-rolls of them all. One of the weapons you will want to put extra care into farming a new god-roll for is the Horror Story. before we go over the perks to look out for, let’s go over its basic stats:

  • Impact: 29
  • Range: 57
  • Stability: 40
  • Handling: 37
  • Reload Speed: 41
  • Magazine: 32

Horror Story PvE God Roll in Destiny 2

While Horror Story might not be your first pick for the highest-tier PvE content, you may want to reconsider. Currently, you can use an auto rifle to deal with barrier champions. You can also pick up Osmosis on the Horror story, which will allow you to turn Horror Story into an auto rifle with your subclass energy type by throwing your grenade.

The only perk worth picking up in the first column is Subsistence. Just having the ability to keep cutting down weaker ads without having to reload is super important. It makes the ability to match Horror Story to your subclass energy type even better since you can spawn orbs of power and more elemental wells by getting rapid kills. This can come in handy as you are farming candy to get your other god-roll weapons.

For your magazine, you will want to pick up either Appended Mag or Extended Mag. The Appended Mag will simply increase your magazine size by a few shots without any drawbacks. Extended Mag puts a few more bullets in your magazine than Appended Mag and provided increased airborn effectiveness but at the cost of some reload speed.

Finally, you will want to pick between either the Cleanshot IS or the Hitmark IS for your scope. The Cleanshot IS will give you a small amount of zoom, a bit of range, and a large increase in handling. The Hitmark IS will give you a small boost to range and a larger boost to handling than the Cleanshot IS gives.

Horror Story PvP God Roll in Destiny 2

PvP is really where the Horror Story shines with its high range and stability. With just basic stats you can easily challenge pulse rifles for the mid-range fights and might be able to beat a scout rifle depending on the perks you pick.

Tragically you don’t really have a lot of good options in the first column with Killing Wind being the best choice. The increase in mobility after a kill can help you get out of sightlines to heal up. You can also take advantage of the increased range and handling on kill to take another fight.

In the second column, you have a few great choices of PvP perks to pick from. Moving Target will really help you in your longer-ranged battles since it increased your movement speed when aiming down sights and give you a bit more aim assist if you move around while aiming. You could also choose to pick up Snapshot Sights to give yourself a quicker aim-down-sights speed which can help in those close-range battles.

For your magazine, you will want to pick up Tactical Mag to give yourself a  slightly larger magazine, increased reload speed and increased stability. You could also choose to take Accurized Rounds if you plan on taking more long-ranged battles with the Horror Story since Accurized Rounds give you a large boost to range. If you are looking for another god-roll weapon to use with the Horror Story you might want to check out some of our other Destiny 2 god-roll weapon guides.

Destiny 2 Jurassic Green God Roll: Best Perks for PvP and PvE https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-jurassic-green-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-jurassic-green-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 22:46:03 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864078 Destiny-2-Jurassic-Green-God-Roll

The Jurassic Green pulse rifle is back in Destiny 2 with the Festival of the Lost. Once you have found a copy or two of Jurassic Green you can start looking for the PvP or PvE god roll.

Jurassic Green is a Rapid-Fire Frame pulse rifle, meaning it has deeper ammo reserves and a slightly faster reload when the magazine is empty. It also fires 540 rounds per minute. Here are the other basic stats for Jurassic Green:

  • Impact: 23
  • Range: 27
  • Stability: 41
  • Handling: 19
  • Reload Speed: 27
  • Magazine: 35

Jurassic Green PvE God Roll in Destiny 2

Jurassic Green is a fairly good pulse rifle for PvE and PvP. For the barrel attachment, the PvE Jurassic Green god roll calls for the Smallbore. Though the handling isn’t great on Jurassic Green, what is more important is boosting the range and stability.

For the magazine, try to get something that furth increases range and stability. Our picks are Ricochet Rounds for PvE since the bouncing bullets will help deal more damage and it gives a buff to stability and range.

The first perk for the PvE Jurassic Green god roll is Subsistence. This is a great perk that allows you to partially reload your magazine from reserves after defeating targets. Whether you are clearing out hordes in Haunted Sectors or trying to farm Candy, this is a great perk to have.

For the second perk, it sort of depends. If you have a great grenade build like a Solar 3.0 Warlock, then pick Adrenaline Junkie as grenade kills and weapon final blows will increase Jurassic Green’s damage and handling. If you want to rely more on your weapon Dragonfly will create an elemental damage explosion, which is great because pulse rifles are excellent at precision kills.

Jurassic Green PvP God Roll in Destiny 2

The Jurassic Green PvP god roll is similar to the PvE god roll, but different in a few ways. For the barrel and the magazine, still pick Smallbore and Ricochet Rounds. Any attachment that boosts range and stability is good, but those two are the best.

When it comes to the Jurassic Green PvP god roll first perk, Rangefinder is what you want. With this perk, the zoom and range of Jurassic Green will increase which is perfect for long alleyways in the Crucible.

The second perk to pick up for the Jurassic Green PvP god roll is Multiclip Kill. Though there isn’t a clear winner with the second perk, Multiclip Kill is great for PvP because it will increase the weapon’s damage when reloading after rapid kills. It’s not incredible, but it’s that or Adrenaline Junkie for the best PvP Jurassic Green god roll perk.

If you want to check out the Mechabre god roll or anything else happening in Festival of the Lost, visit our Destiny 2 page for more.

Destiny 2 Mechabre God-Roll: Best Perks for PvP and PvE https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-mechabre-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-mechabre-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 22:05:19 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=863996 Destiny-2-Mechabre

The Festival of the Lost is finally upon us again in Destiny 2. Alongside all of our normal tricks and treats of the festival, we have been given a new sniper rifle to try out. The Mechabre is the newest arc sniper to be added to Destiny 2 and it comes with quite a nice perk pool to pick from. Before we go into the god-roll perks for the Mechabre, let’s go over its basic stats first:

Mechabre Destiny 2 Stats:

  • Impact: 90
  • Range: 74
  • Stability: 28
  • Handling: 26
  • Reload Speed: 30
  • Rounds Per Minute: 72
  • Magazine: 3

Mechabre PvE God Roll in Destiny 2

While you may immediately notice one of the PvE’s most popular perks on the Mechabre, it is not that great of an option. Despite having access to Triple Tap, you may want to look for a roll with either Auto-Loading Holster or Clown Cartridge. Since the magazine on the Mechabre is normally three shots, running triple tap would only allow you to get one extra shot off if you hit all of your shots. Meanwhile, you could get the overload from Clown Cartridge or quickly fire off your shots and switch to something else with Auto-Loading Holster.

Combine any of those perks with either Vorpal Weapon or High Impact Reserves to increase your overall damage. Combine those perks with either Arrowhead Brake or Corkscrew Rifling for the muzzle and Appended Magazine or Tactical Mag.

Mechabre PvP God Roll in Destiny 2

For PvP, the choices are quite obvious. PvP players will notice the option of Snapshot Sights in the first column. However, Perpetual Motion is also an option in the first column and should not be easily overlooked. Sure you lose the ability to quick scope but you gain a huge advantage if you ever need to peek into another sniper.

In the second column, you have the staple PvP perk of Opening Shot which is never a bad choice. You could also consider taking Moving Target if you have Perpetual Motion in the first column since these perks work so well together. Slickdraw is a new perk we have not seen before but it doesn’t really work well on snipers unless you are really going for those quick switch kills.

For your barrel, you will want to grab either Hammer-Forge Rifling or Fluted Barrel. Pair either of those with Accurized Rounds and you will have yourself a solid PvP sniper.

You also need to keep in mind the Origin trait on this new sniper of Search Party. Having faster ADS speed and ADS movement speed while no other guardians are around is something every sniper user dreams of. If you need another weapon to pair with this new sniper, consider checking out some of our other god-roll weapon guides for Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Braytech Werewolf God Roll: Best Perks for PvP and PvE https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-braytech-werewolf-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-braytech-werewolf-god-roll-best-perks-for-pvp-and-pve/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 22:04:35 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864069 Destiny-2-Braytech-Werewolf-God-Roll

Braytech Werewolf is back in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost and you can start working your way to a good god roll. Braytech Werewolf is a Kinetic auto rifle that is pretty decent in Destiny 2 PvP and PvE.

Precision Frame is what Braytech Werewolf comes with which means its recoil is controllably verticle. In general, the Braytech Werewolf god roll focuses on increasing range and stability. Here are the basic traits for Braytech Werewolf:

  • Impact: 29
  • Range: 69
  • Stability: 41
  • Handling: 39
  • Reload Speed: 42
  • Magazine: 34

Braytech Werewolf PvE God Roll in Destiny 2

PvE is where Braytech shines. For the Barrel, Smallbore will add a much-needed boost to stability and range. Ricochet Rounds is the magazine of choice for Braytech Werewolf to, again, increase the range and stability while getting an extra kick out of each bullet.

For the first perk, pick Fourth Time’s the Charm. This perk returns two rounds to the magazine after scoring four rapid precision shots. If you’re having trouble getting that perk, Dynamic Sway is also good; it will improve the accuracy and stability of Braytech Werewolf while continuously holding down the trigger.

If you plan to use Braytech Werewolf against bosses or Guardians in Crucible, then get Vorpal Weapon because it gives a 20% increase to damage those types of enemies. If you just want to use Braytech Werewolf to clear Haunted Sectors, then go with Swashbuckler. The perk allows for kills with Braytech Werewolf and your melee to increase the damage of the weapon.

Braytech Werewolf PvP God Roll in Destiny 2

Though Braytech Werewolf isn’t the best auto rifle for PvP, you can still look for this god roll. Similar to the PvE god roll, the Braytech Werewolf PvP god roll starts with Smallbore for the barrel attachment and Ricochet Rounds for the magazine. The reason that these are the best attachments is because they both increase the range and stability of Braytech Werewolf. If you are on PC and don’t worry about stability as much, you can go for attachments that boost range only like Hammer-Forged Rifling and Armor-Piercing Rounds.

The best first perk for the Brayteh Werewolf PvP god roll is Dynamic Sway Reduction. With this perk, you will be rewarded with improved accuracy and stability as you hold down the trigger. This is great for long hallways, shoot-outs, and ranged fighting.

For the last perk, there isn’t anything that stands out to really make Braytech Werewolf a beast in PvP, but the best perk to try to get is Swashbuckler or Elemental Capacitor. Swashbuckler will increase the weapon’s damage as you get gun and melee kills. Elemental Capacitor will greatly increase the reload speed if you are using Solar, handing with Arc, stability with Void, and recoil and ADS speed with Stasis.

Destiny 2: How to get Spectral Pages https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-get-spectral-pages/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-get-spectral-pages/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 21:30:01 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864067 destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-masks-1

Spectral Pages are a new type of temporary currency players can use to buy items in the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2. These pages are the first step of a long process of playing in a new event called the Haunted Sectors celebrating Halloween this year. Spectral Pages are mainly used to complete The Book of the Forgotten in the Tower. In this guide, we will show you how to get Spectral Pages in Destiny 2.

Where to get Spectral Pages in Destiny 2

In Destiny 2, players will use Spectral Pages to complete The Book of the Forgotten during the Festival of the Lost. To get Spectral Pages, players will first need to equip any mask in their inventory.

If you do not have a mask, head over to Eva Levante in the Tower and buy one for 100 Glimmer. You can not get any Spectral Pages if you are not wearing a mask, so be sure to pick one up before continuing through this guide.

All Spectral Page Locations in Destiny 2

The first place you can pick up Spectral Pages is by doing Strikes with your mask on. You will be rewarded with five Spectral Pages after completing a strike. Every Strike rewards you with five pages each, which makes this an easy and effective way to gather your pages.

The second place to get Spectral Pages is by doing weekly Nightfall Strikes with your mask on. You will be rewarded with five Spectral Pages no matter the difficulty level for weekly Nightfalls.

The third place to snag Spectral Pages is through the Crucible. After any Crucible match, you will get three Spectral Pages. They may seem less, but Crucible matches go by much quicker than Strikes or Nightfalls, so if you want to finish getting your Spectral Pages fast, go with this route.

The fourth and last place to get Spectral Pages is through the Gambit. You will get three Spectral Pages per Gambit match. Like with Crucible matches, this is a fast method of getting Spectral Pages as it doesn’t matter if you win or lose.

If your Spectral Pages are not manifesting in Destiny 2, be sure to check our latest guide on how to fix the issue. Many issues are facing the problem as they attempt to find pages to fill up the Book of the Forgotten, so read it out if you are having trouble.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Destiny 2: How to Add Manifested Pages into the Book of the Forgotten https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-add-manifested-pages-into-the-book-of-the-forgotten/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-add-manifested-pages-into-the-book-of-the-forgotten/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 21:11:53 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864061 Destiny-2-Manifest-Pages

An activity to complete during Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost is to place Manifest Pages in the Book of the Forgotten. Doing so will reward you with Candy and interesting lore. First, you need to know how to get Manifest Pages. Here is how to get Manifest Pages and how to turn them in at the Book of the Forgotten in Destiny 2.

How to Gest Manifest Pages in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost

Manifest Pages are acquired by transforming Spectral Pages. To transform Spectral Pages, all you need to do is defeat Headless Ones in Haunted Sectors with Spectral Pages in hand. To acquire Spectral Pages, complete any activity while wearing a mask.

So, to reiterate, get Spectral Pages by completing activities while wearing a mask and then kill Headless Ones to transform the Spectra Pages into Manifest Pages. Once you have enough Manifest Pages, you can turn them in at the Book of the Forgotten.

While you can work to complete the Tales of the Forgotten – Vol. 1 from Festival of the Lost 2021, Vol. 2 is the book for this year. There are 27 Shrouded Pages in total. The first three require two Manifest Pages, the next seven require five Manifest Pages, and the last 17 require nine Manifest Pages.

The Book of the Forgotten is placed in between Eva Levante and the Haunted Sector start monument. Once you have enough Manifested Pages, simply Interact with the podium and you’ll see the Book of the Forgotten.

And just like that, you are earning Manifest Pages and adding them to the Book of the Forgotten. If you need help with Haunted Sectors, are interested in Festival of the Lost god rolls, or want to unlock all of the masks, visit our Destiny 2 page for all of that and more.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost: How to fix Spectral Pages Not Manifesting https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-how-to-fix-spectral-pages-not-manifesting/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-how-to-fix-spectral-pages-not-manifesting/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 20:56:26 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864043 Destiny-2-Festival-of-the-Lost-Armor

It’s quite normal for an event to have a few problems at launch and the Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 is not immune to this fact. But the launch of this event is facing a major problem since the Spectral Pages mechanic of the event doesn’t seem to be working for all players. This issue is blocking many players from being able to complete the event quest and begin farming for all of their new god-roll weapons. Let’s go over how to get the Spectral Pages mechanic working again in Destiny 2.

How to Fix Spectral Pages Not Manifesting in Destiny 2

The main issue many players are facing right now is the game not giving Manifested Pages to players when they complete the Haunted Lost Sector activity. Normally you would receive a number of Manifested Pages equal to the amount of Headless Ones you kill. You also need to have the same amount of Spectral Pages in your inventory going into the event as you want to turn into Manifested Pages as it is a one-for-one trade.

At the end of the activity, players are having the right amount of Spectral Pages removed from their inventory but they are not receiving any Manifested Pages in return. This issue seems to be caused by the buff for all Spectral Pages being manifested being applied to players as soon as they start the Haunted Lost Sector Activity. Normally you would get this buff after you manage to kill all of the Haunted Ones but something about it being applied to your guardian at the start of the activity breaks the reward process.

This means the only way to fix this issue is to get into a Haunted Lost Sector activity where you don’t have the buff active at the start. You can either keep joining the activity over and over until you get lucky or wait for Bungie to fix the issue since they have acknowledged that it is an issue.

While you wait for the issue to be fixed, you can still farm up plenty of candy to exchange at Eva. You will also still receive the weapon rewards for running the Haunted Lost Sectors, just not the pages. So farming for god rolls is not entirely off the table. You just won’t be able to fully complete the Festival of the Lost questline until the issue is resolved. We have plenty of other news about the Festival of the Lost on our Destiny 2 page for you to read up on while you wait for the hotfix to drop.

Festival of the Lost is back in Destiny 2 and that means it is time to farm Candy. The backbone of Halloween is Candy and that is true in Destiny 2’s Halloween event. Candy is the currency you’ll constantly need more of during Festival of the Lost. Here is how to farm Candy quickly in Destiny 2.

How to Farm Candy in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost

The fastest way to farm Candy in Destiny 2 is by completing Eva Levante Bounties. As the official Festival of the Lost vendor, Eva offers two Weekly Bounties that cost 1,o00 Glimmer and, when completed, reward you with 250 Candy and four Daily Bounties that cost 250 Glimmer and, when completed, reward you with 30 Candy.

Return daily and weekly to complete Eva’s Bounties to earn Candy. You can also purchase Additional Bounties for 3,000 Glimmer each that offer Bright Dust, XP, and 20 Candy.

As you are completing Bounties, the next fastest way to farm Candy in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost is by defeating combatants and completing activities with a mask equipped. There are numerous masks to choose from and they are all free, even the Savathun Mask.

Wherever you are in the system—completing Ketchcrash activities, defeating Guardians in Crucible, rolling Headless Ones in Haunted Sectorscombatants will drop Candy if you are wearing a mask. And don’t worry about grabbing every piece of Candy that hits the floor; Kadi 55-20 will retrieve it all and keep it safe for you to collect back at the Tower.

Once you have a good stockpile of Candy, you’ll want to spend it on Grab Bags. Go to Eva at the Tower and purchase an Epic Mystery Grab Bag for 1,300 Candy or a Rare Mystery Grab Bag for 650 Candy.

Grab Bags contain Manifested Pages, Festival of the Lost weapons, and more. The whole point of farming Candy is to cash it in with Grab Bags.

And that is how to farm Candy as fast as possible in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost. If you want to know what the Festival of Lost god rolls are, how to unlock every mask, or anything else, visit our Destiny 2 page.

Is the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Event Card Worth it? https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/is-the-destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-event-card-worth-it/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/is-the-destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-event-card-worth-it/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 20:15:00 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=864032 Destiny-2-Festival-of-the-Lost-Event-Card

The Destiny 2 Halloween event called Festival of the Lost is finally here and it’ll end before you know it. In order to fully enjoy the event, Bungie has offered players a Festival of the Lost Event Card. Though the Halloween event is completely free, players can buy this for some choice rewards. But, is the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Event Card worth it?

Is the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Event Card Worth it?

In all honesty, the Festival of the Lost Event Card is not worth it. The Event Card costs 1,000 Silver which is roughly USD $10.00. All the Festival of the Lost Event Card gets you is two Exotic and one Legendary cosmetics. Here are the two Exotic and one Legendary cosmetics:

  • Bobbing For Apples Exotic Emote
  • Bold Chapalu Exotic Sparrow
  • Angel’s Gleam Legendary Shader

You also get immediate access to the cosmetics that you can earn with Event Tickets. While this is cool, the cosmetics locked behind Event Tickets are available to every Guardian for free. All it takes is completing the Event Challenges.

So, in reality, the Festival of the Lost Event Card only gets you two Exotic cosmetics and one Legendary shader. In my opinion, the Exotic black cat Sparrow and the Bobbing For Apples Exotic Emote aren’t that impressive and the Legendary Shader is very yellow. It is up to you if you think those three items are worth USD $10.00.

As mentioned previously, the Festival of the Lost event is free. All of the Event Challenges, the masks, and Festival of the Lost cosmetics with Event Tickets are available for every Guardian. Even the event-specific Title and Seal are available for free.

We are very happy that everything in the Festival of the Lost event is free, but it is a bummer that the Event Card is so disappointing. Again, if after seeing the cosmetics you deem the Festival of the Lost Event Card worth it, then more power to you. But we are going to save our money for the Mech Ornaments.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Haunted Sectors: Location, Headless Ones, and More https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-haunted-sectors-location-headless-ones-and-more/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-haunted-sectors-location-headless-ones-and-more/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 18:04:02 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=863992 Destiny-2-Haunted-Sectors-2022

Festival of the Lost, the 2022 Halloween event, is officially here in Destiny 2 and the main activity is the Haunted Sector. In the Haunted Sector, you can farm Candy, progress through Festival of the Lost Challenges, and just have a great time. Here is everything you need to know about Haunted Sectors in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost.

How to Start the Haunted Sector in Destiny 2

To start the Haunted Sector, simply go to the glowing fire to the right of Eva and start the mission. You can also easily access the Haunted Sector by opening your map and selecting the Haunted Sector Playlist.

To start enjoying the Festival of the Lost, you’ll want to jump right into the Haunted Sector. Unlike Lost Sectors, you don’t need to search for it and it won’t rotate randomly each day.

How to Complete the Haunted Sector in Destiny 2

Though the Haunted Sector is a returning activity, if you are new or just need a refresher, here is how to complete the activity. First, you’ll launch into the Haunted Sector with two teammates. Once you are in the main room, your goal is to look for Ritual Circles. Stand in the circles to summon a Headless One.

Headless Ones are glowing purple and have pumpkins for heads. They are powerful enemies that have a yellow health bar, but can easily be killed with any gun. Once they are defeated, they drop five to six pieces of Candy, which is the Festival of the Lost main currency.

You’ll have around five minutes to summon 10 Headless Ones. If you have defeated 10 Headless Ones before the timer runs out, don’t leave the activity. Just wait because you aren’t done.

After the time is up, the last phase of the Haunted Sector begins. A final boss will spawn in. There are three damage periods. To break the final boss’s grey shield, stand in the ritual circles, kill the Headless Ones, and throw the pumpkin bombs at the boss. Around three pumpkin bombs drop per Headless One, and you’ll need around two or three to break the shield.

Do this two times, and you’ll defeat the final boss. Once that is complete, you’ll receive a chest full of Candy, Festival of the Lost weapons, and more. Any Candy you missed can be picked up by Kadi 55-20 at the Tower, so don’t worry about collecting every piece.

With the Haunted Sector done, you can return to Eva at the Tower and do it again. If you are looking for Festival of the Lost god rolls, quest help, or anything else, head over to our Destiny 2 page for more.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost: Start and End Time, Everything You Need To Know https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-start-and-end-time-everything-you-need-to-know/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-festival-of-the-lost-start-and-end-time-everything-you-need-to-know/#respond Fri, 14 Oct 2022 12:04:47 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=863097 Destiny-2-Halloween-Skins

The Festival of the Lost is returning to Destiny 2 once again. Earlier in the year, a vote was held to decide the theme of the guardians’ costumes and now it’s time for the popular choice to shine. On top of a new weapon that is coming with the Festival of the Lost, we will also see the return of the Event Card system that hopefully won’t become a staple for Destiny 2. Let’s go over all of the details for Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost.

When Does Festival of the Lost Begin in Destiny 2?

Although we are already well into the month of October, we will have to wait until October 18 to see the beginning of the Festival of the Lost. That’s not too far away but you won’t be able to access the event like normal as it seems the Event Card system from Destiny 2’s Solstice event is making a return for the Festival of the Lost. This means to fully partake in the event you will need to pay 1,000 silver to get access to all the available rewards.

What is Being Added To the Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2?

Alongside the seasonal ornaments that make up our guardian’s Halloween costumes, we have the standard Halloween mask making its return with eight new mask styles featuring our favorite enemies and our new friend Starhorse. We are also seeing the addition of a new Arc sniper rifle to go along with all the other new Season of Plunder weapons. The sniper rifle is also designed to go along with the mech-themed armor ornaments.

Although we are unsure if we will see the return of previous Festival of the Lost weapons, the new arc sniper more than makes up for it. Although the name of the weapon is currently unknown, we do know the perk pool that it has access to and it seems like it will be a must-have for PvE and PvP content. The sniper is also coming with its own Origin perk called Search Party.

This perk gives you increased aim-down site speed and movement speed while aiming down sites as long as there are no allies near. This is a new turn for Destiny 2 perks since most of them want you to be near allies to gain bonuses. Even the god-roll of Doom of Chelchis takes advantage of its origin perk that activates when near allies. However, this new arc sniper origin perk is what makes it super useful in PvP since you will more often than not find yourself alone.

You will have to keep the origin perk in mind when playing PvE content with the new arc sniper but the increased aim-down sight speed and movement speed while aiming won’t be of much use anyway. If you need any help with the Festival of the Lost or any other Destiny 2 content our Destiny 2 guides will be able to help you out.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

All Materials That Will Be Unobtainable in Destiny 2 Season 19 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-materials-that-will-be-unobtainable-in-destiny-2-season-19/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/all-materials-that-will-be-unobtainable-in-destiny-2-season-19/#respond Thu, 13 Oct 2022 20:49:57 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=862908 Destiny-2-Sword-Skating

After five years of continuously including new content in its game, Bungie is finally cutting content from Destiny 2. When the next season arrives, Season 19, multiple materials that you could get by going to planets in the system in the game will no longer be available. You cannot get these materials from finishing public events nor can you get them from chests. They will be completely deleted from the game, meaning more inventory space for any of your Guardians in Destiny 2. While you beat down the Champions in Season 18, here is what you need to know about all the materials that will be unobtainable in Destiny 2 Season 19.

What Materials Can You Not Get in Destiny 2 Season 19?

There will be six materials in total that will be wiped from Destiny 2. They go away once Season 19 begins, which is enough time to dump them onto Rahool, who is in The Tower. This will free up loads of space in your inventory once the new season begins.

All Items that Will Be Unobtainable Next Season

Next season, these six materials will no longer be available to get in Destiny 2:

  • Baryon Boughs
  • Dusklight Shards
  • Glacial Starwort
  • Helium Filaments
  • Microphasic Datalattice
  • Spinmetal Leaves

Before Season 19 begins and after it has started, you can exchange any of these materials with Rahool for 5,000 Glimmer for a stack of 20 materials. However, if you have less than 20, you can receive 250 Glimmer for every material you offer to him. This will be for every material in this batch going forward in Destiny 2.

Why Make the Switch?

This change allows for more options for players who come to Destiny 2. With these materials going away, there is now a gap in how players can earn Glimmer in the game. To make up for this gap, Bungie will give Heroic Events to boost Glimmer rewards on planets around Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Destiny 2: How to Defeat Champions in Season 18 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-defeat-champions-in-season-18/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-defeat-champions-in-season-18/#respond Wed, 12 Oct 2022 18:30:47 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=862531 Destiny-2-Champions

In Destiny 2 Season of Plunder, multiple Seasonal Challenges require Guardians to defeat Champions across the system. For instance, to complete Antiquarian VIII, you need to defeat Champions. What are Champions in Destiny 2? How do I find them? How do I defeat them? Here to answer these questions and more.

What are Champions in Destiny 2?

If you are new to Destiny 2 or just need a refresher, Champions are boss-like enemies that usually appear in Heroic activities like Lost Sectors, Raids, Nightfalls, and Campaign missions.

Like the Seasonal Challenges say, Champions can be found on any planet or location throughout the system. The easiest way to find Champions and complete your Seasonal Challenges is through Expeditions.

How to Defeat Champions in Destiny 2

There are three Champion types: Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable. To take them down, you need to equip a Barrier, Overload, or Unstoppable mod to one of your guns. With the mods available via the Skeleton Key, there are multiple options for how to defeat a Champion in Destiny 2.

Depending on what guns you like best, you can equip an Anti-Barrier Auto Rifle or Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle mod for Barrier Champions, the Unstoppable Pulse Rifle or Unstoppable Shotgun for Unstoppable Champions, and the Overload Bow or Overload Machine Gun for Overload Champions. Make sure to have one of each mod as you never know the Champion type you will face.

Killing Ruffians is the easiest way to defeat Champions in Destiny 2. Ruffians are Champions that are found in Expeditions. You can kill two Ruffians per Expedition. Ruffians are spawned by filling your vessel with 80% treasure and waiting. The Ruffians on Expedition are the easiest Champions to defeat and usually don’t require a modded gun.

And that is how to defeat Champions in Destiny 2. If you’re interested in more Destiny 2 news and guides, visit our Destiny 2 page.

Destiny 2: How to Get the Gambit Ornament for Cry Mutiny https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-get-the-gambit-ornament-for-cry-mutiny/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-how-to-get-the-gambit-ornament-for-cry-mutiny/#respond Wed, 12 Oct 2022 18:04:39 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=862506 Destiny-2-Cry-Mutiny

Cry Mutiny is the Destiny 2 Season 18 Ritual weapon. Cry Mutiny is an excellent grenade launcher, especially for Solar 3.0 builds because it is Solar and can have the Incandescent perk. Once you have gotten Cry Mutiny from any of the three Vendors—Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit—you’ll then be able to get the Cry Mutiny ornament. Here is how to get the Cry Mutiny Gambit ornament in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Gambit Ornament for Cry Mutiny in Destiny 2

To get the Gambit Cry Mutiny ornament in Destiny 2, you need to reach Gambit rank 32. Once you reach Gambit rank 16, you’ll get a Cry Mutiny and be able to reset. You’ll also get an Ascendant Shard. When you reach Gambit rank 16 a second time, you’ll get the Cry Mutiny Gambit ornament.

Getting the Gambit Cry Mutiny ornament is a Season of Plunder Week 8 challenge. The challenge is called “Intended Mischief” and will grant you 100,000 XP and a handful of Bright Dust.

The honest truth is that getting the Gambit ornament for Cry Mutiny is a grind. Resetting your rank once is a challenge, but doing it twice is a hassle.

How to Rank Up in Gambit Quickly in Destiny 2

The fastest way to rank up in Gambit is by playing and winning consecutive matches and playing during double XP weeks.

To rank up fast in Gambit, all you need to do is play and win a bunch of Gambit activities. The better your win streak, the more reputation you’ll earn towards ranking up.

You also need to watch for double XP weeks that boost the reputation you get when playing specific game modes. When a Gambit double XP week happens, get in there and grind as much as possible.

A common misconception is that Vendor-specific Bounties reward reputation, the XP needed to rank up. Reputation is for ranking up a Vendor and XP is for leveling up your Season Pass. So, no, Bounties do not help you rank up faster.

And that is how to get the Gambit ornament for the Cry Mutiny in Destiny 2. If you’re looking for more helpful guides, news, and more, visit our Destiny 2 page.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Players always want to move as fast as possible in any game they play and Destiny 2 is no exception. One of the quickest movement methods in Destiny 2 is Sword Skating. This method of movement involves quickly switching to your sword and swinging while combining it with other abilities. Sword skating is so popular because it can be done by any class as long as they have a specific sword. Let’s go over how you can sword skate for yourself in Destiny 2.

How to Sword Skate in Destiny 2

The basic version of sword skating is quite simple. You just need a specific sword from the 30th Anniversary update. One of the swords you are looking for is the Half-Truths, The other sword is called The Other Half. Both can be found in the Dares of Eternity activity.  The reason you need one of the two swords added with that update is because of a special perk that they both can come with called Eager Edge. This perk increases your lunge distance for a short duration when you equip the sword. You may already see where this is going if you remember Worldline Skating back when Worldline Zero was the only sword that let you do something similar.

After you have the sword with Eager Edge you can skate by simply sprint jumping and quickly switching to the sword and heavy attacking to get a huge burst of speed. After that, you can swing the sword while in the air and bunny hop to keep your speed for as long as you want. Warlocks can also combine this with Icarus Dash for a bit more speed. There are more advanced versions of skating for each class with Warlocks having Well Skating, Hunters having Shatter Skating and Titans having Bubble Skating.

All of the advanced methods work similarly and require the use of a ledge. for each method, you will want to switch to the sword and heavy attack yourself off the ledge. Then perform a frame-perfect trick to use the super or ability associated with your class and jump at the same time. This will send you flying much further than regular sword skating but comes at the cost of wasting a super or ability if you mess it up.

Sword Skating may be much harder to do now since Bungie seems to have patched it with a recent hotfix. The line they used was “Fixed an issue where Eager Edge could be used multiple times in a single activation.” but this seems to have been directed at sword skating. Going forward, sword skating won’t be as powerful of a tool as it was but should still be semi-possible.

It is unknown at this time if the more advanced methods of skating no longer work since those didn’t use multiple swings of Eager Edge to work. If you need any more help with Destiny 2, our other guides for the game should be able to answer any questions you may have.

Fastest Methods to Farm Deepsight Resonance in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/fastest-methods-to-farm-deepsight-resonance-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/fastest-methods-to-farm-deepsight-resonance-in-destiny-2/#respond Wed, 05 Oct 2022 08:13:14 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=861051 Destiny-2-Season-of-Plunder-Artifact-Skeleton-Key

Since the release of Witch Queen in Destiny 2, many players have sought after Deepsight Resonance or Red Border weapons. Once you have completed the Deepsight Resonance on a few different copies of the same weapon, you unlock the pattern of said weapon and can craft it for yourself. All of the new Season of Plunder weapons in Destiny 2 can come with Deepsight Resonance and be crafted if you complete their patterns. Let’s go over how you can easily get your hands on Deepsight Resonance weapons in Destiny 2.

How to Farm Deepsight Resonance Weapons in Destiny 2

The hardest part about farming for weapons with Deepsight Resonance is that there is currently no consistent way to farm them outside of buying them on a weekly reset. Anytime you find a weapon, there is a chance for it to have Deepsight Resonance attached to it but you won’t know until you pick it up. This makes farming the weapon you want the best way to farm Deepsight Resonance.

Currently, the only consistent way to get a weapon with Deepsight Resonance attached is to pick them up on weekly resets from the seasonal vendors. Each seasonal vendor has an upgrade you can get that will make the first weapon of the week that you buy from them come with Deepsight Resonance attached to it. While this may seem great, you have to remember that you can only do this once per week. This means for most seasonal weapons it will take you about five weeks to complete the pattern for one weapon.

Of course, that timeframe can go down if you manage to pick up additional versions of that weapon with Deepsight Resonance during the week. But the only guaranteed weapons come from the seasonal vendors and their upgrades. For the current Season of Plunder, you will want the upgrade that gives the first weapon you focus for the week a second set of selectable perks. Although this upgrade does not say that it provides Deepsight Resonance to the weapon it was changed this week to provide it.

Destiny-2-Deepsight-Resonance-

Once you have cleaned out your seasonal vendors, your best way to get the Deepsight Resonance weapons is to run Raids. The Kings Fall raid brings more than just new mechanics with it, as you can get yourself a guaranteed Deepsight Resonance drop at the end of the raid. To do this you will need to find a set of runes at the start of the raid that you will then need to find and shoot again throughout the rest of the raid.

You can also spend your Spoils of Conquest at the end of a raid to buy yourself a Deepsight Resonance weapon once per week. Outside of those methods, you will just have to hope any weapon drops you get will come with Deepsight Resonance if you still need more before the weekly reset. If you are in no rush to get the Deepsight Resonance weapons, then you can focus on farming for a god-roll Pizzicato-22. That way you are still passively finding Deepsight Resonance weapons while working toward something that can’t be crafted.

Destiny 2 Crews Control Triumph Guide: How to Summon Each Crewmate as a First Mate https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-crews-control-triumph-guide-how-to-summon-each-crewmate-as-a-first-mate/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-crews-control-triumph-guide-how-to-summon-each-crewmate-as-a-first-mate/#respond Thu, 29 Sep 2022 21:32:27 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=859780 Destiny-2-Weekly-Reset

The Season of Plunder in Destiny 2 has been ramping up and as players get access to more seasonal features they are getting closer to completing the seasonal triumph. One part of the seasonal triumph is to summon our pirate crew when they have achieved first mate rank. This means we need to upgrade the three types of crew members we can call in Destiny 2 up to first mate status and then summon them. Let’s go over how you can complete the summon first mate part of Destiny 2’s Season of Plunder triumph.

How to Upgrade Your Pirate Crew to First Mate in Destiny 2

Upgrading your crew members to first mate rank is quite simple. You just need to spend the Repute on the corresponding upgrade for each crew member, similar to the maps for Crude Ciphers. Three crew members can be upgraded to first mate rank so you will need three Repute for the upgrade as well as enough Repute spent to unlock the first mate upgrades. If you have been completing all of the weekly challenges for Repute you should have more than enough to fully upgrade your crew

Destiny-2-First-Mate-Upgrade

How to Summon First Mate Crew in Destiny 2

Once you have all three of your crew members upgraded to first mate rank, you simply need to summon them to get progress toward the seasonal triumph. You can only summon your crew during the two seasonal activities. Two sets of crew members can be summoned during the Ketcrash activity when you are on the deck of the ship and during the individual rooms inside the ship. As you enter the areas, you should see banner flags that you can interact with to summon your crew members.

Destiny-2-First-Mate-Summon

Make sure you are the person to interact with the flags to be guaranteed progress toward your triumph. You will know when crew members are summoned as you will have a buff on the side of your screen alerting you that crew members are summoned. Make sure to pay attention to if the buff is up or not as the crew members are only active for a set amount of time and will de-summon while you are fighting in a room.

If your crew members de-summon before you finish the fight in a room, you can go back up to the flag and interact with it again to resummon them. This should count as another summon toward your triumph.

The third and final crew member can be found in the Expedition activity as you gather treasure. At each site that you are drilling at you should once again see a set of banners that you can interact with to summon your crew. Once the treasure reaches the final point there will be a third and final set of banners to again summon your crew. This means each activity will give you at least three chances to summon your crew and gain progress for your triumph.

Make sure to pay attention to your crew summoned buff during the Expedition since the crew can be de-summoned while you are fighting just like they can be during Ketcrash. You can re-summon them by interacting with the banner again and this should count as extra progress toward your triumph, which makes this part of the seasonal triumph much easier than finding and killing ruffians.

How to Use the Crude Cipher in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-use-the-crude-cipher-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-use-the-crude-cipher-in-destiny-2/#respond Wed, 28 Sep 2022 07:09:38 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=859311 Destiny-2-Crude-Cipher

What would Destiny 2‘s Season of Plunder be without treasure maps and the ability to find buried treasure? During your treasure-hunting adventures, you will come across Crude Ciphers that seem to have no real use in Destiny 2, as you collect Crude Ciphers they will show up in your Captain Atlas but only say you need more instructions to do anything with them. Let’s go over what you do with Crude Ciphers in Destiny 2.

What to do With Crude Ciphers in Destiny 2

Since the Crude Ciphers appear in the treasure map section of your Captain’s Atlas, it makes sense to assume that the Crude Ciphers are used to get new treasure maps. However, you need more than just the Crude Ciphers to unlock a new treasure map to use in the atlas. You will also need to upgrade your pirate crew to gain access to these new map types.

You upgrade your pirate crew through the use of Repute, which you can earn by completing the newest weekly quests throughout the season. Each week of the season, there will be two quests you can complete to earn Repute, one of the quests will be linked to completing the seasonal questline and the other quests tend to be linked to the seasonal activities.

You can also obtain the Glimmer-focused treasure map by increasing your rank to rank four during the season. You will still need the Crude Ciphers no matter which map you unlock. Aside from the basic and Glimmer-focused maps, you can also get a weapon-focused map and a special rumor map that can be used once a week.

If you are short a few Crude Cipher fragments to unlock the next map, you will need to get them by completing the Cryptic Quantrains and their riddles. Each time you complete the Cryptic Quatrain you should get two Crude Ciphers fragments which is enough to unlock a map in the atlas.

Destiny-2-Crude-Cipher-Useage

Once you have unlocked the treasure maps, you can use them to run the seasonal expedition activity. This will have you gathering treasure which is need for the Scallywag to triumph alongside killing ruffians. The treasure maps are a great way to farm up any Glimmer you need with the Glimmer-focused map. You can also try to farm a god-rolled seasonal weapon or get a Deepsight resonance one to work toward unlocking it for crafting.

How to Get Bright Dust in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-get-bright-dust-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-get-bright-dust-in-destiny-2/#respond Fri, 23 Sep 2022 19:18:57 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=858466 Destiny-2-How-to-Get-Bright-Dust-Fast

In Destiny 2, Bright Dust is the free cosmetic currency. Unlike Silver, which is paid for with real money, Bright Dust can be earned in-game and used like Silver. Though it won’t get you everything, there is a specific selection of cosmetics that are purchased with Bright Dust.

Whether you are saving up for the Fortnite Armor Ornaments or you just want a few cool shaders, Bright Dust is a valuable currency to have. Here’s how to get as much Bright Dust as you can in each season of Destiny 2.

All Ways to Get Bright Dust in Destiny 2

Bright Dust is a free player’s best friend, and there are multiple ways to get it. Here are all of the ways to get Bright Dust in Destiny 2:

  • Repeatable Bounties – 10 Bright Dust
  • Ritual Vendor Challenges – 120 Bright Dust
  • Seasonal Challenges – 75-300 Bright Dust
  • Engrams – 250-1,000 Bright Dust
  • Triumphs – 4,000 Bright Dust
  • Season Pass Ranks
          • Free – 7,500 Bright Dust
          • Paid – 10,500 Bright Dust

As you can see, there are a lot of ways to get Bright Dust in Destiny 2. Let’s break down each method so it is crystal clear.

Destiny-2-Repeatable-Bounties-Bright-Dust

Repeatable Bounties

Every week, Destiny 2 vendors offer four Bounties and a fifth slot that is repeatable. This fifth bounty, simply titled “Additional Bounties,” will be random and reward you with 10 Bright Dust upon completion.

These repeatable Bounties that offer 10 Bright Dust are only sold by The Drifter, Shaxx, and Zavala. Though 10 Bright Dust isn’t a lot, it does add up, especially if you are grinding your rank and trying to get a weapon like Cry Mutiny.

Destiny-2-Ritual-Vendor-Challenges-Bright-Dust

Ritual Vendor Challenges

Before each Destiny 2 weekly reset, you have the opportunity to complete Ritual Vendor Challenges. The Drifter, Vaxx, and Zavala all offer 120 Bright Dust each as a reward for completing eight of their Bounties. But remember to complete eight Bounties before the weekly reset because your progress will not carry over into a new week.

The 120 Bright Dust ritual vendor Challenges are character specific, which means that you could have all three of your characters complete all three ritual vendor Challenges. If you did that, you could get 1,080 Bright Dust a week.

Destiny-2-Seasonal-Challenges-Bright-Dust

Seasonal Challenges

Each season has its own set of Seasonal Challenges. Released weekly, some of the Seasonal Challenges will reward you with Bright Dust. Generally, the amount of Bright Dust given looks like this:

  • Challenger XP+ – 75 Bright Dust
  • Challenger XP++ – 150 Bright Dust
  • Challenger XP+++ –  300 Bright Dust.

Naturally, some Seasonal Challenges are harder than others, but you will be rewarded with XP and Bright Dust for your efforts.

Engrams

Bright Dust Engrams are extremely rare, but they do appear sometimes. The small Gift of Bright Dust Engrams will give you 250 Bright Dust, the medium Gift of Bright Dust Engrams will give you 500 Bright dust, and the large Gift of Bright Dust Engrams will give you 1,000 Bright Dust.

It is unknown how to get Bright Dust Engrams, but when they appear, they are much appreciated. Don’t count on them, but enjoy them when they come.

Triumphs

Another rare way to get Bright Dust is through Triumphs. Some Triumphs will reward you with Bright Dust, ships, and even exotic sparrows. The amount of Bright Dust gained from completing Triumphs can be anywhere from 750 to 300.

Destiny-2-Season-Pass-Bright-Dust

Season Pass Ranks

Last but certainly not least, is the Season Pass ranks. You can get a lot of Bright Dust from leveling up your Season Pass. If you don’t own the Season Pass, you’ll unlock 7,500 Bright Dust at level 100 and if you do own the Season Pass, you’ll get 10,500 Bright Dust at level 100.

Best Way to Farm Bright Dust Quickly and Easily

Now that you know every way to get Bright Dust in Destiny 2, you need to know what the best, fastest, and easiest way to get Bright Dust is.

To maximize the amount of Bright Dust you get, track three Seasonal Challenges that reward Bright Dust. While working towards completing those Seasonal Challenges, go to The Drifter, Shaxx, or Zavala and get ten Bounties, five of which are repeatable.

Hopefully, the Seasonal Challenges synergize with Crucible, Gambit, or Vanguard activities so you can kill two birds with one stone. To get even more birds with that one stone, get as many Bounties as you can from Banshee-44.

By completing all of the Bounties you now have, you will be getting small doses of Bright Dust through Bounties. You’ll also be working your way through Ritual Vendor Challenges, completing your Seasonal Challenges, and ranking up the Season Pass. By combining all of these activities, you can earn a lot of Bright Dust very quickly in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Robber Baron Triumph Guide: Fastest Way to Defeat Ruffians https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-robber-baron-triumph-guide-fastest-way-to-defeat-ruffians/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/destiny-2-robber-baron-triumph-guide-fastest-way-to-defeat-ruffians/#respond Fri, 23 Sep 2022 18:14:20 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=858447 Destiny-2-Robber-Baron-Triumph

Robber Baron is a four-stop Triumph in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder. By completing the Robber Baron Triumph, you are one step closer to achieving Scallywag. Scallywag is the Seal you’ll get for completing all of the Season of Plunder Triumphs. Here is the fastest way to defeat Ruffians in Destiny 2 to get the Robber Baron Triumph.

Easiest Way to Farm Ruffians in Destiny 2

First off, you need to know that Ruffians only spawn in Expeditions. So in order to farm Ruffians for the Robber Baron Triumph, all you have to do is launch into an Expedition. But, it isn’t that simple.

Once you are in an Expedition, you need to summon a Ruffian. A minimum of two Ruffians can spawn in an Expedition. To summon a Ruffian, you need to fill your ship with 80-99% treasure. Make sure to not get 100% treasure because you’ll activate the next part of the Expedition and a Ruffian won’t spawn in.

At 80-99% treasure, Ruffians have a chance to spawn in. Coordinate with your team to make sure no more treasure is loaded up before the Ruffian spawns in and is defeated. We recommend using the Taipan-4FR to defeat Ruffians quickly as it is one of the best weapons in Season of Plunder. Ruffians also have a Barrier shield, but that is easily broken down with almost any weapon.

After you’ve defeated the first Ruffian, load up your ship with treasure and go to the next phase. Repeat the same process you did in the first phase. With this strategy, you’ll get two Ruffian kills each Expedition, which you’ll be doing a lot of to rank up the Star Chart anyways.

And that is the fastest way to defeat Ruffians and get the Robber Baron Triumph in Destiny 2. If you’re looking for more Destiny 2 content like weapon rankings, quest guides, and more, visit our Destiny 2 page.

Every Season of Plunder Weapon in Destiny 2: Ranked Tier List https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/every-season-of-plunder-weapon-in-destiny-2-ranked-tier-list/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/every-season-of-plunder-weapon-in-destiny-2-ranked-tier-list/#respond Thu, 22 Sep 2022 21:50:57 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=858272 Destiny-2-Treasure-Coordinates

From some of the game’s best SMGs to the Touch of Malice King’s Fall exotic, there are a lot of great weapons in Destiny 2 Season of Plunder. In this guide, we are covering all of the general weapons released during Destiny 2 Season of Plunder.

Assume that the Harrowed and Adept versions of the weapons that can have those upgrades are the better versions of those weapons. Let’s just hop right into it; here are all of the Destiny 2 Season of Plunder weapons ranked from best to worst.

Destiny 2 Season of Plunder Weapons – S Tier

Destiny-2-Taipan-4FR-God-Roll
  • Touch of Malice
  • Quicksilver Storm
  • Delicate Tomb
  • Taipan-4FR

The S Tier weapons all belong to be here. First off, we have the three Season of Plunder exotics. Touch of Malice reigns supreme, especially with its catalyst, and Quicksilver Storm, the Lightfall pre-order exotic, and the Delicate Tomb are really great.

The next best weapon in S Tier in Season of Plunder is Taipan-4FR. Since it is easy to get, an easy unlockable crafting weapon, and easy to God Roll, Tapain-4FR is a must-have Season of Plunder weapon.

Destiny 2 Season of Plunder Weapons – A Tier

Destiny-2-Brigands-Law-God-Roll
  • Brigand’s Law
  • Tarnished Mettle
  • Cry Mutiny
  • Ammit AR2
  • Roar of the Bear
  • Zaouli’s Bane

Starting off the A Tier list, Brigand’s Law is one of the best sidearms we have seen in a while. Especially paired with Arc 3.0 and the Joltshot from Brigand’s Law God Roll, it is a great weapon.

Tarnished Mettle is an excellent scout rifle and is one of the best we’ve seen in a while. Cry Mutiny is excellent as well and works best with Solar 3.0 builds. The Ammit AR2, like the Taipan-4FR, is easy to unlock and craft a God Roll.

We’ve also got Roar of the Bear which is a great Iron Banner rocket launcher and Zaouli’s Bane, which is an excellent hand cannon from King’s Fall.

Destiny 2 Season of Plunder Weapons – B Tier

Destiny-2-Doom-of-Chelchis
  • Planck’s Stride
  • Qullim’s Terminus
  • Blood Feud
  • Doom of Chelchis
  • Smite of Merain
  • Out of Bounds
  • Whistler’s Whim
  • The Inquisitor
  • Yesteryear

The weapons included here in the Destiny 2 Season of Plunder B Tier are solid options. Nothing bad, nothing great. Planck’s Stride and Qullim’s Terminus are both solid machine guns that are equally matched. Blood Feud is a solid SMG and Doom Chelchis is a good, but not as good as Tarnished Mettle.

Smite of Merain is another King’s Fall weapon that is a solid pulse rifle choice. Yesteryear is B Tier as well, but Smite is a bit better. Out of Bounds, like Blood Feud, is a good SMG option and The Inquisitor is a fine shotgun.

Lastly, Whistler’s Whim is accessible through the Trials of Osiris and it is an okay bow.

Destiny 2 Season of Plunder Weapons – C Tier

Destiny-2-Sailspy-Pitchglass
  • Defiance of Yasmin
  • Sailspy Pitchglass
  • Midha’s Reckoning
  • No Reprieve
  • Allied Demand
  • Mindbender’s Ambition
  • The Militia’s Birthright

The weapons in the Destiny 2 Season of Plunder C Tier aren’t that great or just have better weapons that outrank them. Since there aren’t many snipers this season, Defiance of Yasmin is a good one to get, but it isn’t too impressive. Sailspy Pitchglass is a fine linear fusion rifle, but the Taipan-4FR is better.

No Reprieve is a cool blunderbuss, but it isn’t the best shotgun around. Allied Demand, Mindbender’s Ambition, and The Militia’s Birthright are in the same boat—there are better options to choose from in Season of Plunder.

Destiny 2 Season of Plunder Weapons – D Tier

Destiny-2-Pizzicato-22
  • Boudica-C
  • Pure Poetry
  • Pizzicato-22

Lastly, these three weapons in the Destiny 2 Season of Plunder D Tier are weapons that you shouldn’t try to get because they aren’t great and there are better weapons to choose.

And that is the Destiny 2 Season of Plunder weapon tier list. If you want to find each weapon’s God Roll or want to keep up with the latest Destiny 2 news, visit our Destiny 2 page.

How to Get the Touch of Malice Catalyst in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-get-the-touch-of-malice-catalyst-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/how-to-get-the-touch-of-malice-catalyst-in-destiny-2/#respond Thu, 22 Sep 2022 12:26:03 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=858082 Destiny-Touch-of-Malice-1

While getting the Touch of Malice back in Destiny 2 was already a treat for many players, the gifts just keep coming. Like many other exotics in Destiny 2, Touch of Malice has a Catalyst that can upgrade the weapon beyond its normal state. Many players noticed that the catalyst was not unlocked through a questline or world drop but was listed as being acquired in the King’s Fall raid. Let’s go over how you can get the Touch of Malice catalyst in Destiny 2.

How to get the Touch of Malice Catalyst in Destiny 2

Many players might think that you just need to complete the King’s Fall raid on the newly released master mode to get the catalyst for Touch of Malice. Luckily you don’t need to take on a challenge that difficult but you will need to do a few puzzles during the King’s Fall raid. Obviously, someone in your fireteam will need to have a Touch of Malice without the catalyst acquired in order for the puzzles to be activated.

First Puzzle – Relic Encounter

The first puzzle you will need to complete is right as you load into the raid. Before you begin the relic encounter, you will want to run toward where the portal appears at the end of the encounter and look to your left. You should see a building with several entrances. Go inside this building and you should see a glowing plate to stand on.

The person that wants to get their Touch of Malice catalyst will need to stand on this plate with the weapon equipped in order to begin the puzzle. Once they step onto the plat you should see a notification that relics have spawned. There are now four relics that have spawned in random places across the opening area that your team will need to find. The two relics that start the first encounter are not included in the four new relics that you need to find.

Once all of the relics have been found, you will want to assign a person to each relic and have them standing at it ready to be picked. Everyone will want to pick up their relic at the same time as it starts a timer. Before the timer runs out, each of the four relics must be brought to the Thrall statue behind the portal spawn.

The two players that are not carrying relics should focus on clearing out the Shriekers that target the relic-carrying players.  A good scout rifle should help clear out the Shriekers with ease. Make sure to wait at the Thrall statue for each relic to be there before dunking them all in. You will know that you succeeded if you get a notification that the statue hums with energy. Continue through the raid as normal until you reach Golgoroth’s maze for the next step.

Second Puzzle – The Maze

Before you reach the Golgoroth encounter you will need to make your way through his maze. Inside the maze, there is a secret chest that you can get by activating five plates throughout the maze in the correct order. To continue the catalyst puzzle you will need to unlock the secret chest. Once you collect your loot from the chest you will want to look around for a plate like the one that you stood on before the Relic encounter.

The plate should be amongst the crystals near the chest. Once you find the plate, the person going for the catalyst will need to stand on the plate with Touch of Malice equipped again. This will again spawn four relics throughout the maze and you will need to send everyone out to find them. Make sure they are all picked up at the same time once they are found as this will once again start a timer for all of the relics to be deposited.

Everyone will need to bring their relic toward the exit of the maze. Near the exit, you will want to look down the holes in the ground. One of these holes will not be a death pit but instead the Thrall statue that you need to dunk all of the relics into. After you have dunked the relics you can continue through the raid and fight the next boss.

Third Puzzle – The Wall

Once you have defeated Golgoroth you will arrive at everyone’s favorite part of King’s Fall, The Walls. You will want to activate all of the plats in this room as normal and then you should notice that the final plate will keep glowing. This is the plate that the person going for the catalyst will need to stand on to once again spawn the four relics throughout the room.

Once everyone has picked up their relics the same timer will start again. Everyone will need to make their way back to the start of the room and deposit their relics at the statue. This may seem difficult, but once you begin the challenge extra platforms will spawn throughout the room to make getting back easier. The non-relic carrying members of the team will want to provide cover by killing all the Shriekers that spawn throughout the room.

Once everyone has dunked their relics, some new platforms will spawn that will lead you and your team up to the Basketball Court easter egg room from the original raid. Everyone will want to make their way up there to complete the final steps of the puzzle and get the catalyst for whoever is getting it.

Fourth Puzzle – Basketball Court

This part will begin as soon as everyone enters the room. A timer will start and multiple relics will appear around the room. Everyone will want to start going for the relics and dunking them into the Thrall statue in the middle of the room. There will be more than four relics in this room so after you dunk a relic you will want to look around the room and begin going for another relic.

As you and your team dunk relics, the pillars on the side of the room will begin to glow. This shows how many relics you have dunked and you will need to keep dunking relics until the pillars are fully lit.

Once the pillars are fully lit the catalyst will be rewarded to everyone in the fireteam that needs it. This means you can get a full fireteam of people that need the catalyst together and get them all done in one run. Not everyone in the fireteam needs to stand on a plate to activate one of the puzzles to be awarded the catalyst at the end. Now that you have the catalyst for Touch of Malice you can go get other raid exotics like the Divinity.

The Best Destiny 2 SMGS for PVE and PVP, Ranked https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/the-best-destiny-2-smgs-for-pve-and-pvp-ranked/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/the-best-destiny-2-smgs-for-pve-and-pvp-ranked/#respond Wed, 21 Sep 2022 11:57:17 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=857869 Destiny-2-Kings-Fall-Changes

Nothing Screams close-quarters combat like a shotgun or an SMG and luckily Destiny 2 has both. While shotguns are a great backup tool if you find yourself in the punching range of someone, many players enjoy the versatility and unlimited ammo that comes with an SMG in Destiny 2. You have that high fire rate to quickly dump a whole magazine into someone at close range, but also the ability to tap fire to hit shots at longer ranges. Let’s go over the best PvP and PvE SMGs that are available now in Destiny 2.

The Best PvP SMGs in Destiny 2

Something to remember about most weapons in Destiny 2 is that it is quite rare for an exotic to be the best choice in PvP, especially when it comes to SMGs. Exotic weapons tend to have an effect that works well with a build that either allows you to stack up insane damage or pull off some crazy AOE kill effect that won’t generally be able to be set up in a single life in PvP. That’s why most of the best SMGs for PvP will be legendary, which is great because it leaves your exotic slot open for your power or heavy weapon like the Gjallarhorn.

Mida Mini-Tool

Destiny_2_Mida_Mini_Tool_1280x720

Starting off strong is an SMG that will decimate Guardians and doesn’t take much effort to get. The Mida Mini-Tool is one of the few non-exotic weapons in Destiny 2 that doesn’t come with random perks or stats of any kind which makes it quite similar to the exotic scout rifle. However, this Mini-Tool packs quite a punch and comes with some great PvP perks as well. When you obtain the Mida Mini-Tool, it will have Kill Clip and Hip Fire Grip on it which are two of the better PvP-oriented perks for SMGs to use in Destiny 2.

The best part about this weapon is there is no need to farm it since it is a quest reward with non-random perks. All you need to do to pick yourself up a copy is complete the Enhance world quest in the EDZ. This makes it easy to get for new players since the EDZ is not locked behind any DLC campaign. Veteran players who probably completed this quest a long time ago should either check their vault for it or you can simply re-acquire it from your collection tab since it does not have random rolls.

Pizzicato-22

Destiny-2-Pizzicato-22

While this SMG can work well as an ad clear in PvE, it really shines in the Crucible. Fans of the adaptive frame SMG type are flocking to get their hands on a god roll of the Pizzicato-22 since it is the only SMG other than the Hero’s Burden with this frame that is still useable. The adaptive frame is what makes this SMG such a monster in PvP since it has the fire rate to handle in close-quarters engagements that you might find yourself in but can also pick off opponents at medium ranges as well.

You will need to farm a bit to get yourself a god roll unless Banshee-44 happens to sell a god roll of it. Normally it can only be obtained through random legendary engrams. But with the help of the umbral engram focusing upgrade in the helm from the Season of Plunder, you can focus umbral engrams to give you only Suros-type weapons. This means you only need to win a one out of five gamble to get a chance at a god roll Pizzicato-22 rather than hope you get it instead of any other weapon currently dropping in the game.

Multimach CCX

Destiny_2_Multimach_CCX_1280x720

Every time the Iron Banner shows up, we get some great PvP weapons. Look at some of the classic Iron Banner weapons Destiny 2 players still farm to this day. One of these weapons is the Multimach CCX, a very aggressive SMG for all of your close-quarters engagements. You will want to use this SMG the same way you would use a shotgun, right when you are in someone’s face. You can spray people down when they are a bit further away from you but anything past a medium range is going to be a pipe-dream to hit.

The Mulitmach CCX is a great backup to keep on you if you plan to spend most of your Crucible match sniping. If anyone gets too close for your sniper to handle, then they are in the right range for the Multimach. Since it is an Iron Banner weapon, it can roll with some of the Iron Banner exclusive perks which are best suited for PvP. If you don’t already have a Multimach CCX, consider farming for one the next time Iron Banner is around.

Best PvE SMGs in Destiny 2

An SMG in PvE is mostly a tool for clearing ads. It will be quite rare for someone to consider doing boss damage with SMG if they have ammo for any other weapon. While Exotic SMGs do exist and can provide some strong effects in PvE, they are still effects that make ad clearing easier and don’t provide much more single target damage.

Osteo Striga

Destiny_2_Osteo_Striga_1280x720

The Witch Queen campaign exotic truly hit the mark with many players. This SMG is so good at its job of ad clearing that you had world first raid runners using it for day one clears. Unlike other exotics in Destiny 2, getting your hands on the Osteo Striga is quite simple. All you need to do is clear the Witch Queen campaign and you will receive the pattern for the SMG to be crafted. Even the catalyst for the Osteo Striga is earned by leveling up your crafted Osteo and then you reshape it to have the catalyst on it.

Having tracking bullets on this SMG makes hipfire a simple option in almost any fight and almost makes it worth using in PvP. However, the slow projectile travel speed keeps it as a PvE monster and nothing more. Still, if you are having trouble cleaning up ads in your raids, consider throwing on the Osteo Striga. If you run a warlock you might want to consider pairing the Osteo Striga with the Necrotic Grip exotic armor since the poison dot applied by the Osteo gains the necrotic damage bonus provided by the armor.

Riskrunner

Destiny-2-Risk-Runner

Since the Season of Plunder brought with it Arc 3.0, it makes sense that one of the best SMGs to sue in PvE at the moment is the Riskrunner. Before Arc 3.0, Riskrunner was only seen anytime people needed to deal with the Fallen. Although Season of Plunder is a Fallen-focused season, there are other reasons we are seeing many players picking back up this SMG. The main selling point of Riskrunner has always been the reduced arc damage and the huge bonuses the SMG gets when you take arc damage.

This is why the Riskrunner is associated with the Fallen so much as most Fallen deal arc damage. Making the Riskrunner not only a free armor item to run against them but also a room-clearing machine with the unlimited magazine and arcing shots that you gain when you take arc damage. Since many players are running the new Arc subclass at the moment, it makes sense to pair it with Riskrunner. All you need to do to activate its special effect is run into your some of your own arc damage which will be reduced due to Riskrunner.

Submission

Destiny-2-Submission

Witch Queen was really on the mark for putting out great SMGs, although this SMG comes from the raid rather than the campaign. The Submission is quite a stable SMG to use for its fire rate. It also comes with Lightweight frame which allows you to move quickly when you have it equipped, making it great for getting into cover if you get overwhelmed. Since it is a raid weapon you will have to complete a few runs of Vow of the Disciple to get one for yourself.

However, it can be crafted so all you need are five red border drops of the Submission before you can make your own god roll with access to enhanced perks. While the enhanced perks do make it a more desirable acquisition over other SMGs it also has a solid origin perk that heals you for each kill you get before reloading. If you combine this with Subsistence or Overflow, you can fully heal yourself on a reload.

Extraordinary Rendition

Destiny_2_Extaordinary_Rendition_1280x720

This SMG from the Season of the Chosen made quite a stir on its release and hasn’t been overtaken since. The Extraordinary Rendition came with an interesting selection of perks that keep it in the top spots of PvE SMGs for good reason. Getting either Frenzy or Rampage on this SMG with Overflow or Subsistence turns it into a weapon that can clear a room quickly and be used to deal decent damage to a boss if you run out of ammo.

The stability and accuracy combined with the fire rate make it a solid option at most ranges in PvE. It allows you to stay right where you want in a fight and still be useful. While we may not see much use out of any SMG in PvE currently, you can be sure the Extraordinary Rendition will come out of people’s vaults the second SMGs get a seasonal campion mod. Consider picking one up for yourself before the Battlegrounds activity is removed from the game. If you prefer more ranged combat, you might want to consider getting a scout rifle to run on backup with your SMG.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

Best Scout Rifles in Destiny 2 https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-scout-rifles-in-destiny-2/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/best-scout-rifles-in-destiny-2/#respond Wed, 21 Sep 2022 09:41:43 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=857822 Best-scout-rifles-in-Destiny-2

Destiny 2 is cementing itself among the legacy of the Destiny franchise each and every day. There is always something exciting to be playing through and whether you are experiencing the game with other people, or simply delving into crucible matches by yourself, you certainly will not be running out of content to enjoy anytime soon. Collecting weapons is also another core part of the game and one type of weapon that you will get highly acquainted with is the scout rifle. This article will take you through some of the best scout rifles in Destiny 2.

Best Scout Rifles in Destiny 2, Ranked

5. Mida Multi-Tool — Multiple Fatalities On the Way

This is an exotic weapon that is immensely enjoyable to utilize but at the same time packs a powerful enough punch that it holds its own against all of the other many scout rifles in the game. It may not be the absolute best of the best but it is extremely high up on the list for a scout rifle that you will still want to have access to.

It is yet another weapon that has made its way from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2 and now you will be tearing enemies to shreds with a brilliant build setup consisting of excellent scout rifles once again.

4. Vision of Confluence — Glass Shards Shall be Bound

The Vault of Glass was the very first raid that graced Destiny back in the day and now the same raid is available in Destiny 2. By playing through it you will get a chance of getting this exquisite scout rifle. It is absolutely one of the rifles that are ideal for having based on any sort of situation in the experience.

Brilliant for both PVP/PVE, this weapon will have you covered because of its nice range of stats and solar-powered rounds. Again likewise with Tarnished Mettle, this is a legendary weapon so it allows you to curate your setup even more.

3. Tarnished Mettle — Lightning Flows Through You Once Again

An arc scout rifle that arrived during the Season of Plunder, this specific weapon had the community consistently discussing rolls for it as there were perks that make this weapon into one of the best weapons to have in the game. The arc element/energy being linked to the scout rifle already does this, however, if you have perks such as Dragonfly and Killing Wind on the weapon, you are likely going to be an unstoppable force on the battlefield for any season.

If you are looking for a weapon to fill up a legendary slot so you can equip an exotic weapon in another slot, this will make a wonderful pair for any setup that you may have.

2. Touch of Malice — Taking a Visit to your Old Buddy Oryx

Time to take a visit to The King’s Fall Raid and obtain this scout rifle as a loot drop. This is one of the classic Destiny franchise weapons as it also was part of the Taken King expansion within Destiny 1. The exotic scout rifle itself will boast extremely high damage however your character will take damage every time you fire the weapon.

Nonetheless, the benefits of this weapon far outweigh that damage intake and your ammo/final bullet will regenerate on an instant basis allowing you to get firing at any time you’d like. Perfect for dealing with fast-moving groups of enemies on their way to you. It is a weapon that you will want to have in your arsenal for times you don’t want to be reloading too much.

1. The Jade Rabbit — Make your Enemies Jaded

There is no other scout rifle that tends to be more familiar than The Jade Rabbit and that is why it is taking our number one spot on the list. There are reasons that even after many years people still frequently utilize this weapon and one of those reasons is its potency in the Crucible. If you are taking this particular weapon into the Crucible with you, expect to eliminate your enemies very quickly if you are making headshots with the bullets.

The intrinsic trait of this exotic scout rifle also makes it so that chaining body shots will increase the overall precision and even return ammo to the magazine upon reload. It is a perfect weapon not just for the crucible but for PVE activities similarly. This is a weapon that you will likely want to acquire soon.

Destiny 2 is available right now and is playable right now for the platforms of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.

Weekly Seasonal Challenges in Destiny 2 are a great way to keep gamers consistently engaged, especially with the wide variety of rewards they present to any committed commander. Among these rewards are a large variety of exclusive weapons which players can steadily access, including the Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher. Luckily, the process is relatively linear for any player looking to get their hands on this ritual weapon. Read on to find out how to earn a Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher.

How to Unlock the Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher in Destiny 2

To obtain the Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher, Guardians must reach rank sixteen with one of three characters; Lord Shaxx,  Commander Zavala, or the Drifter. Once rank 16 is reached with any of the vendors, you will gain access to the grenade launcher, as it’s one of the rewards to collect while your reputation is increased. For any players looking to level up quickly, you’ll need to complete various challenges like Crucibles and Vanguard Strikes to climb the rankings. Growing characters’ reputations may be tedious, but the rewards given in return pay off.

Once rank 16 is hit, players must return to the Tower and speak with the character who has hit the required rank. Doing so will reward the player with the Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher. So whether you break it down for resources or take it to your next match, it’s a weapon worth earning. Completing this challenge will also feed into the completion of Destiny 2’s weekly Seasonal Challenge.

Destiny’s Season of Plunder is a great way for players to receive a considerable number of in-game perks by participating in free-to-play events, which are undeniably worth the effort. The Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher is just one example of the high-quality rewards on offer.

The Best Crafted Weapons in Destiny 2 for PVE and PVP, Ranked https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/the-best-crafted-weapons-in-destiny-2-for-pve-and-pvp-ranked/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/the-best-crafted-weapons-in-destiny-2-for-pve-and-pvp-ranked/#respond Tue, 20 Sep 2022 17:45:21 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=857663 Destiny-2-Treasure-Coordinates

With The Witch Queen expansion, Destiny 2 introduced weapon crafting which has begun to drastically change which weapons are better than others. With crafted weapons, you now get to pick the God Roll perks yourself, God Roll perks that have enhanced versions. With this in mind, all that is required is to find Deepsight, otherwise known as red border, weapons, level them up, and repeat that three to five times to unlock them in crafting.

But what Deepsight weapons are the best to grind for? For that question, you’ve come to the right place. Here are the best crafted weapons for PvP and PvE in Destiny 2.

The Best PvP Crafted Weapons in Destiny 2

Since every single weapon type is craftable in Destiny 2, there are a lot of great choices when it comes to picking the best crafted weapon for PvP. One of the best and still easily accessible craftable weapons for PvP is the Austringer hand cannon. The two other must-have PvP craftable weapons are the Likely Suspect fusion rifle and the Beloved sniper.

Austringer

Destiny-2-Austringer

Austringer not only looks great but is also one of the best—if not the best—hand cannon to use in PvP. Oh, and it’s craftable. With Enhanced Rangefinder and Enhanced Snapshot Sights, Austringer is unbeatable. Slap on a Corkscrew Rifling barrel and High-Caliber Rounds and you’ve got yourself a hand cannon.

You can easily begin farming Deepsight Austringers by playing Nightmare Containment and paying 500 Vestiges of Dread at the end. You can also open Opulent Chests with Opulent Keys you find on the Leviathan to find a Deepsight Austringer. Lastly, you can focus an Austringer at the Crown of Sorrow in the H.E.L.M.

Beloved

Destiny-2-Beloved

Beloved has become the most beloved sniper in Destiny 2, especially when talking about the best craftable weapons for PvP. To maximize your Beloved PvP God Roll, make sure to equip Smallbore and High-Caliber Rounds. For the perks, you can’t go wrong with Enhanced Snapshot Sights or Enhanced Firmly Planted and Enhanced Moving Target or Enhanced Quickdraw.

The Beloved weapon pattern is easily unlocked in the same way as Austringer. Since both of these exceptional weapons rereleased in Season of the Haunted, you’ll easily get the Deepsight Beloveds you need by grinding Nightmare Containment, opening Opulent Chests, and focusing umbrals at the Crown of Sorrow.

Likely Suspect

Destiny-2-Likely-Suspect

If you find yourself dying a lot to Likely Suspect in PvP, that’s because Likely Suspect is one of the best craftable PvP guns in the game. For the Likely Suspect PvP God Roll, use Smallbore and Particle Repeater for a big boost to the overall stability. Enhanced Firmly Planted or Enhanced Perpetual Motion are the best first perks to decide between depending on your playstyle and finish it off with Enhanced Adagio.

The fastest and easiest way to unlock the Likely Suspect pattern is to complete the Trust Goes Both Ways quest from The Witch Queen story. If you have done that, you’ve unlocked the ability to craft Likely Suspect.

The Best PvE Crafted Weapons in Destiny 2

While PvP is fun, some players prefer completing dungeons and raids in Destiny 2. Some raids, like King’s Fall, are extremely difficult and require the best guns the game has to offer. Luckily, you can craft some of the best PvE weapons. So far, the best crafted weapons for PvE are Taipan-4FR, Submission, and Forbearance.

Taipan-4FR

Destiny-2-Taipan-4FR-God-Roll

Taipan-4FR is new in Season of Plunder and is quickly becoming the best linear fusion rifle on the market. Once you have access to craft it, the Taipan-4FR PvE God Roll is a must-have in raids and even Expeditions. Start with the Fluted Barrel and Liquid Coils and then equip Enhanced Triple Tap and Enhanced Firing Line. Thank me later.

The best part about Taipan-4FR is that unlocking its pattern is very easy. All you need to do is head to The Enclave, accessible through the Savathun’s Throne World map view, and interact with the Relic Conduit vendor next to the crafting station. You’ll receive a quest for the Ammit AR2, which is a great auto rifle to have, and then you’ll get a quest for the Taipan-4FR.

Completing these quests will grant you unlocked versions of both weapons. All you need to do now is get them to level 20 to equip the best Enhanced perks.

Submission

Destiny-2-Submission

Submission is a kinetic submachine gun that has a lightweight frame and fires 900 rounds per minute. It is absolutely insane and can be even better with the right crafted PvE God Roll. Corkscrew Rifling and Tactical Mag are the best options when crafting Submission. From there, Enhanced Subsistence partially reloads your magazine when defeating targets and Enhanced Frenzy increases Submission’s damage, handling, and reload speed while in combat for more than 5.5 seconds.

The only way to get Submission is by running the Witch Queen raid called Vow of the Disciple. You can get it from chests in the Raid and through random drops. After completing five different red border Deepsight Submissions, you will have unlocked the ability to craft the weapon.

Forbearance

Destiny-2-Forbearance

Last, but not least, we have Forbearance. Forbearance is quite simply the best Arc energy grenade launcher in Destiny 2 right now, which pairs nicely with the new Arc 3.0 builds. Start with Volatile Launch and High-Velocity Rounds to get the most out of each blast. Next, Enhanced Unrelenting and Enhanced Chain Reaction will make you the master of the battlefield.

Forbearance is unlocked exactly like Submission. Complete Vow of the Disciple and look for all of the secret chests during the run to get as many Deepsight Forbearances as you can.

And those are the best craftable weapons for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2. If you’re looking for more Destiny 2 content, check out our Destiny 2 page.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.

The Best Destiny 2 Hand Cannons for PVP and PVE, Ranked https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/the-best-destiny-2-hand-cannons-for-pvp-and-pve-ranked/ https://attackofthefanboy.com/guides/the-best-destiny-2-hand-cannons-for-pvp-and-pve-ranked/#respond Tue, 20 Sep 2022 12:03:40 +0000 https://attackofthefanboy.com/?p=857601 Destiny-2-How-to-Unlock-Arc-3.0

There are a decent amount of weapon types you can choose from in Destiny 2. One weapon type that has always been a fan favorite has been the hand cannons or revolvers of Destiny 2. Running around with a big iron on your hip is something many players want to do. If you want to run a hand cannon as your primary weapon, you will want the best tool for the job. While you can get away with any old hand cannon for common content, some hand cannons are better than others. Let’s go over the best PvE and PvP hand cannons in Destiny 2.

The Best PvP Hand Cannons in Destiny 2

PvP is really where hand cannons shine for Destiny 2, being able to kill a player with a few well-placed shots and feeling cool while doing it. While any old hand cannon will still kill a guardian, if you want to make it through a flawless Trials of Osiris run you may want to consider getting a god roll of one of these hand cannons.

Austringer

Destiny-2-Austringer

A returning hand cannon from the old Leviathan raid, the Austringer was added back with the season of the Haunted and is craftable to top it off. Being able to have Eye of the Storm or Snapshot Sights for the first perk column, and Rangefinder or Opening Shot in the second column, gives this weapon multiple builds. Combine this with the ability to equip enhanced perks on it and you have a hand cannon a step above the rest.

Dire Promise

Destiny-2-Dire-Promise

Since Spare Rations have been retired from the drop pool, many players have been searching for a replacement that fills the niche of a smaller build hand cannon. Dire Promise fulfills this search and brings with it the god roll perks that you want for PvP of Opening Shot and Snapshot Sights with Rangefinder to be paired with it. While you can’t put enhanced perks on Dire Promise, the smaller build of the hand cannon frees up more of your screen compared to other hand cannons. The only issue with Dire Promise is that it is not easily farmable since it can only be obtained through worldly weapon engrams.

Eyasluna

Destiny2-Eyasluna

Any fans of the original Destiny already know about Eyasluna. While it is already a weapon you should farm from dungeons, an Eyasluna is a solid option for a PvP hand cannon. Almost every available on the Eyasluna is desired with it also offering Heating Up, Rangefinder, Moving Target, and Snapshot Sights. All of these are great PvP perks and although you can’t easily change the perks out since the Eyasluna is not currently craftable like other 30th Anniversary weapons. Even if you don’t manage to get a PvP god roll you may still get a useable PvE roll of the hand cannon on any dungeon run.

The Best PvE Hand Cannons in Destiny 2

While a good PvP hand cannon needs the ability to accurately and quickly, a good PvE hand cannon needs to be able to help clear ads and deal damage to a boss in a pinch. A lot of exotic hand cannons are more suited for PvE rather than PvP since a proper build can push them beyond their normal limits in PvE content.

Ace of Spades

Destiny-2-Ace-of-Spades

A hand cannon that every player wanted but never realized the cost of getting it. The Ace of Spades is the signature hand cannon of Cayde-6 and is quite useful in any PvE content. With the ability to boost your damage after any kill on top of increasing the magazine size makes it decent for tackling tougher enemies.

It is also one of the first weapons to have the Firefly perk which causes a target to explode upon a headshot kill and provides an increase to reload speed. Firefly pairs well with the exotic perk of Ace of Spades since it lets you clear a pack of ads with a well-placed headshot and then quickly reload to get your extra damage rounds.

Sunshot

Destiny-2-Sunshot

Harnessing the power of the sun inside of your hand cannon and firing it at anything can be quite devastating. The Sunshot is an ad clearing and solar well generating machine with its solar explosive shots. Every shot fired from this hand cannon operates similarly to the explosive payload perk that is so sought after on PvE. To top it off, any target killed by Sunshot will explode dealing solar damage to any nearby enemies. While this is similar to the dragonfly and firefly perks, the sun blast perk on Sunshot will activate on a body shot kill.

Fatebringer

Destiny-2-Fatebringer

The Vault of Glass raid brought many sought-after weapons into Destiny 2 with one of them being the Fatebringer hand cannon. The ability to combine Explosive Payload and Firefly allows the Fatebringer to function similarly to the Ace of Spade or the Sunshot without the need to take up your exotic weapon slot.

While the perks are a bit weaker on Fatebringer, the ability to have access to a weapon similar to an exotic and be able to run a different exotic at the same time is crucial for PvE content. Normally you will want your exotic slot to be taken up by something that deals boss damage or assists with taking down a boss rather than a weapon for ad clear and Fatebringer will let you do just that

If you don’t feel like using a hand cannon all the time you may want to consider picking up a god roll SMG to fall back on. As the Season of Plunder continues, you may want to browse through our Destiny guides to make sure you are not missing out on anything that won’t be around forever.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
