Horizon: Zero Dawn has finally released and with it comes one of the most impressive open worlds to date that manages to feel alive throughout. The only downside of such a large world to explore is that traveling between points can take quite awhile, even with a mount. The game does offer Fast Travel Packs that you can craft, but what you may not know is that there is a special Fast Travel Pack that you can get relatively early in the game that allows you access to infinite free fast travel.
The world of Horizon: Zero Dawn is filled with plenty of settlements and camp fires that very often feature a traveling merchant that you can speak with to get new weapons, outfits, resources, and more in exchange for specific items. You can purchase regular Fast Travel Packs from these merchants, but there is also something very useful that you may not notice in the menu that will save you a lot in the long run.
When speaking with a merchant, go down to the resources that they have for sale. At this point, you will notice the Fast Travel Pack at the top of the list, followed by other resources. However, since these are listed by rarity, the one we really want is at the very end of the list.
Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the Very Rare item known as the Golden Fast Travel Pack. This item provides you with unlimited Fast Travel to discovered Campfires and Settlements throughout the world of Horizon: Zero Dawn, so you can easily see how useful it is.
To get this item, you will have to exchange 50 Metal Shards, 1 Fox Skin, and 10 Fatty Meat. The Metal Shards should be pretty easy for you if you are scavenging for resources a bit. A fox will require you to actually kill a fox, so keep an eye out for those. You will also have to kill plenty of other wild animals in the hopes of getting Fatty Meat, as there are different types of meat to find.
After collecting all of these items, go to the merchant and get the Golden Fast Travel Pack to make you experience in Horizon: Zero Dawn all the better, with you able to zip around the map to discovered locations with no worry of lacking the resources to do so anymore.
