To make this a lot easier for yourself, you should assign your buddy as something you wouldn’t expect to see in the wild, such as a legendary or a third-form evolution. This will make noticing faux spawns significantly more accessible than just having a Pokemon that frequently spawns, like Sentret or Driftloon, which you could easily mistake for a normal Pokemon.

Since Drapion is the final stage of the Skorupi evolution chain, it rarely spawns in the wild. So the best way to come across Drapion is by catching a Skorupi, who spawns relatively often and evolving it with fifty candies. Cloudy or rainy weather in locations such as forests or beaches tends to encourage Skorupi spawn rates, so as soon as the sun is hidden, it’s time to go out on the hunt for one of these. Given each Pokemon will drop three candies without the help of a Pinap Berry, it shouldn’t take too long to get a Drapion.

However, Drapion has also been a raid boss for tier three raids in the past, which is another reliable way to encounter one and is slightly easier than going out on the candy hunt. Due to the poison and dark type of the Pokemon, it’s exclusively weak to ground-type Pokemon, so it’s best to bulk your party out with them if you want a shot at catching one.

Drapion can be shiny in Pokemon GO, but the color palettes of the standard and shiny variations are incredibly similar. The significant difference is that the shiny variety is slightly lighter than the standard, and it has more of a pink and red tone than its traditional purple. How to Evolve Pumpkaboo in Pokemon GO

There are two methods to evolving Pumpkaboo in Pokemon GO. The first requires players to collect a whopping 200 Pumpkaboo Candies to evolve their bewitched buddy. The best way to do this as fast as possible is to have Pumpkaboo as your buddy whenever you go out, especially during the Halloween event, and also utilize the ability of Pinap Berries each time you enter the catching screen. Although these berries will only double the amount of candy the Pokemon will give, given the increased spawn rates of Pumpkaboo during the Halloween Season, these candies will begin to stack up quickly.

However, if you’d instead not leave the comfort of your home to evolve this Pokemon, the second method is nowhere near as physical; as long as you are close to a trainer with a Pumkaboo they are willing to trade. If you receive a Pumpkaboo via trade, the required candy amount will be decreased to zero, and you will be able to evolve immediately.

Although this method is much quicker than going on a trick-or-treat-like candy hunt, there’s no guarantee that the Pumpkaboo you’ll receive will have good stats or IVs. But if you aren’t fussed about having a battle-ready pumpkin, trade away.

How to Catch Tangela in Pokemon GO

Since Tangela is part of the first generation, this species has been available to catch since the debut of Pokemon GO in 2016. It requires no particular conditions, time of day, or raid to catch in the wild and tends to sporadically spawn in various locations like forests, farms, and grasslands. Additionally, it’s not locked to any regions so any player can find one in the wild anytime. Trainers may also come across Tangela in 5KM eggs, but there’s no guarantee that a Tangela will hatch, given how many Pokemon can be found within these eggs.

Tangela, similarly to Lickitung, has to be evolved with the Sinnoh Stone alongside 100 Candies. Since Tangela is considered a rare species within Pokemon, trainers must utilize Pinap Berries when catching to maximize candy output. Otherwise, it can be a long slog to get enough to evolve into Tangrowth.

Can it Be Shiny?

Tangela can be shiny in Pokemon GO. Unlike a more subtle shiny Pokemon like Litwick or Galarian Darumaka, Tangela’s shiny variation is instantly recognizable, and you won’t need to pay close attention to realize it. Rather than maintaining the blue coloring the Pokemon is known to adopt, its vines will change to a deep green color similar to Espeon’s shiny variation.

Everything You Need to Know About Elite Raids in Pokemon GO

Elite Raids act similarly to standard raids but will offer players a much stronger challenge for a significant reward. Elite Raid eggs will take twenty-four hours to hatch and only last for half an hour once the Pokemon has hatched. During this time, Elite Raids are expected to function the same way as standard raids, meaning players cannot take over the accompanying gym. Additionally, players can use any raid pass except for a remote raid pass when participating in an Elite Raid, as the raid will need to be completed in person. Essentially, Elite Raids encourage players to get out and take part.

Currently, the only Pokemon to appear in Elite Raids is Hoopa Unbound, though each time a special event on the spotlight, Pokemon is expected to change. Because of this, Elite Raids aren’t a consistent feature within the game and are only likely to appear during special events like the Festival of Lights. Additionally, each Pokemon featured in Elite Raids is much more challenging to defeat and capture than standard raid bosses, so it’s best to gather as many trainers as possible to face the opposition. Once you’ve beaten the boss, you’ll be able to attempt to catch the Pokemon, but be sure to use as many berries as possible because it won’t be easy.

But with little information on what the ticket involves and Litwick being a pretty elusive ghost type to come across, many players question whether the research ticket is worth the money. Also, unlike Community Day, the ticket isn’t free, so you’ll want to know the ins and outs before purchasing.

Should You Buy the Special Research Ticket for Pokemon GO?

Litwick is one of the more challenging ghost-type Pokemon to encounter within the game, and even as the spooky season rolls around, several players are still struggling to get a glimpse of this tiny flame. So those struggling to find one may think the Special Research ticket is worth it due to the increased spawn rate, but it comes down to whether or not you think it’s worth the money. Of course, there’s more to the ticket than just increasing the spawn rate, given it’s a community day, and spawns will be increased anyway.

The Research Ticket is not required to participate in the event, but it will aid your search for Litwick and gift you Pokeballs and items to make catching them more accessible. An increased spawn rate also makes it much easier to collect Litwick candies to eventually evolve into Lampent and then Chandelure with the addition of an Unova Stone. Alongside this, your chances of coming across a shiny version will also be more likely, given how many you’ll be coming across. So, paying for the ticket may be worth considering if you’re a shiny hunter.

However, if you’re considering purchasing the ticket to try and catch the perfect Litwick to level up eventually and evolve to create the perfect Chandelure to teach the attack Poltergeist, it’s not worth it. There’s no evidence to suggest Chandelure will be able to use the move, and the risk isn’t worth the money. Furthermore, Chandelure is more of a damage dealer Pokemon than an endurance Pokemon, so it won’t have enough stamina to use the move, and you’d be wasting your money trying to achieve this.

Many trainers are desperate to track one down to evolve this dual-type to make the most of its powerful counterparts, but evolution isn’t a linear process, unlike several other species. As a result, there’s much more than meets the eye with Litwick, so read on to find out everything you need to know, even down to its weaknesses.

How to Evolve Litwick in Pokemon GO

To evolve Litwick into Lampent, you’ll need twenty-five Litwick Candy. To earn candy quickly, it’s best to have Litwick as your buddy to make candy every 5km and use as many Pinap Berries as you can sacrifice when encountering the wild. However, being one of October’s spotlight Pokemon, Litwick’s have increased spawn rates in the wild, so it’s surprisingly easy to earn enough candy to evolve into Lampent.

However, if you want to take this little candle further and evolve it into Chandelure, you’ll need more than just some candy. While you will need 100 Litwick candies to evolve Lampent, you’ll also need an Unova Stone, which can only be found by spinning Pokestops and Gyms. It’s one of seven items required to evolve certain species of Pokemon within the game.

Litwick’s Best Moves

Because Litwick is a dual-type Pokemon, it’s essential to utilize both types to maximize damage caused during Gym Battles, Raid Battles, or PvP matches. The best offensive moves to use would be Ember and Flame Burst, both of which cause bursts of damage and recharge quickly and are super effective against Ice and Grass Pokemon. In terms of Defensive moves, Astonish and Flame Charge would be the best. Ember and Astonish are Litwick’s quick moves, while every other fire-type move will be a charged attack.

Litwick’s Base Stats

Due to being a stage one evolution, Litwick doesn’t have the most robust Base Stats. With a max HP of 120, it’s a reasonably weak Pokemon to bring into battle, which is supported by its low base stats. However, that’s not to say Litwick will remain a weak Pokemon, as its two evolutions, Lampent and Chandelure, offer much more substance when selecting your battle-ready party.

Best Counters and Weaknesses

Due to being both a fire and ghost-type Pokemon, Litwick has a lot of weaknesses. Any ghost Pokemon will cause 160% damage, alongside the moves of ground, rock, water, and dark types. If you encounter Litwick in a raid, it’s best to prepare your team accordingly, and due to the number of weaknesses this Pokemon has, it’s hard to struggle to find a decent team to take to battle. The table below shows Litwick’s most threatening counters, followed by their most effective moves to utilize.

Gengar is Litwick’s biggest threat, regardless of form and level, so if you have one in your party, you’ll be sure to take down a raid-level Litwick in no time. Litwick has never appeared in a raid higher than tier one, with a max HP of 600 and a Boss CP of 3,202, so it’s a relatively easy Pokemon to take down and catch.

There’s also a chance to hatch a Sawk from a 10km egg from one of these regions, but given how many Pokemon could potentially come from these eggs, there are some pretty slim odds. Because of this, Sawk is considered a reasonably rare Pokemon alongside others such as Tauros, Pachirisu, and Kangaskhan, which can be located across the globe.

Can Sawk be Shiny?

Sawk can be shiny but adopts a similar appearance to the standard Pokemon, similar to Galarain Darumaka. However, rather than being a cool blue tone all over, a shiny Sawk will have a slightly purple tint to it. If you can’t tell the difference, look for a small orange circle by the gender of the Pokemon on the catching screen, which will signify it’s shiny. Swirlix can be found in the wild, but most players would’ve come into contact with one via the Luminous Legend timed research task, alongside two event-specific research tasks involving catching Fairy-type Pokémon and using berries to make the process easier. As for Slurpuff, the only way trainers will come into contact with this colossal cutie is through evolving a Swirlix, so it’s a long-winded but necessary process for anyone looking to complete their dex. Of course, there’s nothing to suggest Slurpuff won’t become a raid or event-exclusive Pokemon outside of evolution in the future, but there’s no suggestion of that right now.

Also, there will be a 1/25 chance of the Dratini being found to be shiny, increasing your chance of snagging this rare form.

It is also important to note that during the time frame of 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, players will have the opportunity to evolve from Dragonite to Dragonair to get a featured attack, “Draco Meteor.” This ability isn’t the most ground-breaking attack, but it is still worth adding to your collection of abilities.

Ticket Details

For just 1 dollar players can access the Dratini Community Day Classic, exclusive to those who pay the fee. It isn’t known yet when these tickets will go live, but rest assured that it will be announced very shortly, and those interested should keep an eye out for information from Niantic. It is important to note that these tickets are nonrefundable and are finalized once the transaction is complete.

Community Day Bonuses

It wouldn’t be a Community Day without some bonuses handed to the players. All bonuses we know of include:
