While you can play the game without ever needing to spend money on it, getting the nicest skins can easily be done if you just drop some cash on it. How to Quickly Get Crafting Materials in Apex Legends
Just like legend tokens, crafting materials are the main way you can get whatever skins you want outside of opening Apex Packs. There are a few methods of getting crafting materials. one way is by getting drops of crafting materials out of Apex Packs. The other method is by leveling up with the premium version of the Battlepass. other than that there is no other way to obtain crafting materials.
If you want to remain free to play, you will need to level up a bunch because every few levels in Apex Legends will reward you with an Apex Pack. The levels between Apex Packs increase as you level up. In early levels, you will get a back every other level. But at higher levels, it will be a couple of levels before you get an Apex Pack. If you are willing to spend a little money on the game you can get the Battlepass for the season and be rewarded with crafting materials every free stage in the Battlepass. On top of getting raw crafting materials through the Battlepass, you will also be rewarded with Apex Packs which can drop more crafting materials.
As long as you fully complete every Battlepass you will get enough Apex Coins to buy the next Battlepass, just don’t spend them on anything else. That way you only have to buy the first Battlepass but all future Battlepasses will be free. You just need to complete each Batttlepass and not spend the Apex Coins to have enough for the next one.
